Hot Topic's website and slow shipping

Hi,

I know a lot of us shop at Hot Topic.com so I wanted to let everyone know that Hot Topic is having problems shipping things ordered online out in a timely manner.  I was lucky that my last order didn't take too long but some orders are now taking 2-3 weeks to ship. :(

Shipping is still really slow. Orders are taking between 3-4 weeks to ship.

I haven't ordered anything since the flocked Firefly and pearly Lickety Split, and that didn't take too long, but that was around a month ago. Hopefully this isn't their speed for the holiday season.
Or maybe they didn't have the stuff on hand and had to wait for it to be sent to them to ship out? May be a faulty inventory counter on their site.

I ordered a Pearly Lickety and a Glitter Lickety but I must have been one of the last orders to have been filled without problems because right after that a lot of people starting complaining that their orders weren't shipping on time. Hot Topic says it's a problem with a system upgrade and the warehouse but orders are arriving without everything or customers are suddenly being refunded.

You can always ask a store to ship an item from another store to yours for free. We used to do that quite regularly when I worked there.

I always do ship-to-store when that's an option, since it means no S&H fees and it often doesn't take as long. But I agree that there may be a heavier workload the closer we get to the Christmas holiday, with people trying to get their shopping started or done.

When they restocked the exclusives online, I put my order in on 10/20 and got the email that they were shipped on 10/27. I'm just waiting for the email telling me they're at the store.

Thanks everyone. :) Ive only recently been shopping more at Hot Topic. I’ll think about ship to store next time I order online. I’m not sure if the store to store option would work for me since the next closet Hot Topic is 2 hours away.

Store to store allows any store to ship an item to your store for you.
