I don't really remember what username I went by back in the mid 90's but probably something simple like Tigerlilja... When I discovered the MLPTP I had recently acquired Tex and Steamer and I loved them to bits so my username became Steamer_Tex.

Me and a friend kept making up stories with out ponies for quite some time and I guess I took the name TornadoLovesMelody after loving Tornado for quite some time and only listening to the name Melody (I hated my own name at the time) . I didn't like the sound of MelodyLovesTornado and in the stories Tornado always loved Melody anyway so ..there you have it :P
When it comes to signing cards though, I bitterly regret taking that name :P Way too long.

Mine is pretty boring. It's just my name and the year I graduated high school. (Oh no! I just gave away my age, lol!) It's what I use for my email and stuff, so I just went with it.

Mine's exceedingly unexciting - dates back to the days of the Pony Name Registry (anyone even old enough to recall it?) and my favourite pony was Sugarberry but that was already taken, so next best thing.  The rest, as they say, is history.

HAHA YES I do!!!

My Arena name is also from the Pony Name Registry, except that it's my Ex-Girlfriend's favorite pony.  We were looking at the site one day and turns out, we had both registered at some point as kids, and our "baby pony names" were next to each other on the same screen ---" it was a SIGN!"  *ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh parting sunny clouds aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah*

Anyway, years have gone by and I still think fondly of her, but I don't think she's into ponies anymore.  All the ponies she gave me, I smile when I see my DD playing with them...  I hope she's doing well but yeah.... times pass and reality continues...

My name means "Black Rose" in French. I was 12, I needed a username for my Minecraft account. I didn't have anything in mind so I just choose something dark like the uninspired kid I was and I wen on with that name ever since.

These are all great stories  :)

Mine is not nearly as interesting... I had just bought Night Glider. Not received; bought. And so she was naturally very much on my mind. And The Arena didn't like just "NightGlider" so I added SA, being the country where I live and taDAA! my user name was born. I never use the same user name or password on any site.

I went through a phase as a teenager of really liking the name 'Noa', which I kind of used as a feminine version of 'Noah'. I used to use that everywhere. It was taken when I tried to create an AOL email one day, so I stuck on the first 3 letters of my name (Sara) and Noasar was born!

People seem to think it says 'No Asar' though and ask me what 'asar' means 😂

I got a pony in a design trade, wrote her into one of my stories named her sapphire cause she's blue it for her and i thought it sounded pretty plus it's my birthstone, realized I put to much of me into her, took her on as my ponysona...now even my mom and friends call me saphy. :p

Many moons ago (i.e. the 90s), there was a fantastic science fiction TV series called "Earth 2" which I was addicted to growing up.  Heck, I still am.  The name "Star Strider" was a name given to a character who had piloted spaceships through deep space, and I always thought it was a lovely name.  I've kept it ever since.

Partially named after Crumpet the pony, mostly named because of the scene in the Great Mouse Detective where Olivia is feeding crumpets to Toby the hound. Plus a once random number that connects most of my user names.

Stormness is a nickname that started with my now hubby and grew from there. For some bizarre reason it's taken on lots of sites, so I added the underscore 1, and that's always been available. Sometimes I'm Storm__Warning, as it's my gaming handle.

In real life, if I'm in a hurry, I'll sign off notes with a lightning bolt orientated like an 'S', and everyone knows who that is, because I've done it since I was a kid.

Omg! I watched that show as well. Had totally forgotten  about it until now. It was one of my guilty pleasures on Saturday mornings. Too bad it just ended after one season.
