What's the best way to keep chalk in dolls hair
« on: October 14, 2017, 06:04:28 AM »
I can't get my hands on a My Scene Tyson doll, I've got two Sutton dolls, I'm turning one into Tyson. What's the best way to colour the flocking on the head white? And also what's the best way to seal it.

Some kind of dye would probably be your best bet, or removing what's there and re-flocking it. Chalk seems like it could easily scrape off flocking.

Chalk sounds very worrying indeed, as it can be very caustic.
Dye would totally be best.

I was thinking of grating the chalk first, then putting it on the dolls hair.

It wouldn't stick unless you wanted to ruin the doll's hair with something like glue.

If you are trying to go from a darker color to a lighter one the only thing you can do is deflock and reflock. Or just be patient and wait for the real thing.

Wellington running out of reroot tools,so I might order some flocking to reflock the doll. Thanks
