Fixing tail rust on a Drink and Wet baby?

A couple days ago I got a Baby Snookums while thrifting. She's very cute, but has a bad case of tail rust.

Since she's a Drink and Wet, she has a tube that begins at her mouth, and ends under her tail. How do I go about taking her head off to get the washer out with that tube in the way? Does anyone have any experience taking off the head of a Drink and Wet pony?

Her head should come off just like a regular pony - the tube is a flexible plastic so it should pop off either from her head or tail when you pull the head off.
