1980's G1 Pony Halloween Costume

They're Ben Cooper costumes; they licensed all kinds of characters back in the day.

Ponyfan, I had the same kind of mixed-up costume when I was little, where the mask didn't match the bottom. I remember it being Buttons and Magic Star though. That would make more sense than Bubbles; Magic Star and Buttons are from the same group and year.

Thanks kellyponyfeathers. Maybe our costumes were packaged at the same time since they both didn't match the Buttons outfit. The mask could be Magic Star. I'm really not  sure what pony the mask is supposed to be or how many different MLP costumes Ben Cooper had.

Actually, this picture is pretty cute.

So its official. I've finally found something Pony that creeps me out more then BBEs and the big BBEs.

I think the humanoid 1980s licensed "character" costumes were far more scary...

Try the humanoid costumes.  Strawberry Shortcake, Rainbow Brite, LADY LOVELYLOCKS! BARBIE!  Why anyone thought the masks were a good idea is beyond me.

T-shirts printed with the graphics would have been so much better...

It seems to have been fairly common for this type of costume to feature a specific character mask & a smock with generic art. Some just had a logo on the chest!

Aww! I had one of those creepy costumes when I was little, too. But it was Rainbow Bright's horse, Starlight. <3 Wish I had a pic!
