...More like a couple of hours there but anyway, it was my and my husband's 10 year wedding anniversary on Friday and on Sunday he took me to the Kentucky Horse Park since while we did some really nice celebrating at home, we weren't able to go out on the actual day. Since we live so close to there now, Mael got us both season passes that are good for an entire year.^^ Then we went to the Champions Barn where we got to see Derby winners Funny Cide and Go For Gin and we got to meet Pacing Triple Crown Winner Western Dreamer. He is such a charming character and Mael took my photo with him. Definitely going to go see him on my next visit. After that we got to go on a trail ride. While I didn't get to ride him this time, I did see the Haflinger named Diesel that I rode on our trail ride when we were there five years ago :3 I'm still sore from that trail ride though. I don't get to ride nearly enough to be conditioned to it. Afterwards, we went to this kind of fancy hotel steakhouse that was nearby. We got New York strips in bourbon and baked potatoes and we got to share a free triple chocolate mousse cake since Mael told the waiter we were celebrating our anniversary. It was a really magical day.
