I used a fake email generator to satiate it.  I agree it's stupid, I've never seen a site demand that before.

There's a ton of then, G1 and G4. Some of them are kind of cute but the messages are absolutely bizarre. "Cali Style"? What? Especially with Gusty, Surprise, and Sundance... how are those ponies at all related to California or the beach vibe they were going for?

I was going to screenshot them but there's just too many. Your best bet is to make a temp email if you want to poke around. There's a lot of different sites that let you make them.
