How would you wash a rubber face toy?

Most of the ones I've seen are from the 1950's or 1970's. Does anyone collect them and how would you wash them? I've been thinking of getting one but this one I'm looking at looks like it needs to be washed.

Idk if they have names but I just call them rubber face toys because they have rubber heads/faces and plush bodies. Here's one-

Hand wash, cold water, mild detergent?
