Did anyone here actually find this in stores? The two just seem so far off that it'd be much more likely that someone photoshopped it like that. If it's legit, why would Hasbro do this?

Would you believe the Canned Unicorn Meat, when it first came out, was stopped at the Canadian boarder because they "couldn't identify the animal it came from".

The tin contains stuffed animal parts.  Annnnnd Canada customs apparently believed in unicorns.

Hey! Unicorns are real what on earth are you talking about?
It was stopped at the border because we have some rather nice laws on what you can and cannot bring. If they can't identify what animal it actually came from (ie, beef) it would be illegal as we know nothing about the nutritional values of unicorn flesh. And it's mandatory that in Canada, it has to have nutrition facts. Be it unicorn or cereal!

In all seriousness though, I'm glad that mlp meat isn't real. I mean, wouldn't that wreck a bunch of little girls dreams to eat a pony? Fluttershy flambè anyone? Or what about a sparkleworks steak?

Yeah, this is definitely fake, for the reasons other members have stated and the fact it has the G3 logo and a G3 pony. And Mewtwofan1, that was the first reason I thought of! I think it would traumatized a bunch of little girls. I'm glad it isn't real too.

It's probably a joke, but consider the following:  MLP gummis exist, and gummis are made out of animal hooves.    Probably cow hooves in the US, but still . . . Not that different from slapping a MLP on a side of beef, really.

Edit:  From what I can see, the first posting of that picture was around 2005 (which explains the G3 pony) and yes, it was a joke post.
