This is fun!

Many of mine were second hand. Actually, I don't recall getting any "new".

G1
Butterscotch-was one of my older cousin's that my grandmother said I could have as it had been left there for years
Medley-garage sale
Firefly-she somehow went missing between now and then
Lemon Drop?
Heart Throb- also went missing
Gusty-also went missing, may have actually belonged to my brother originally as I recently found a picture of him with her at Christmas before I was even born
SS Gusty
Baby Firefly
Baby Cotton Candy
Baby Glory
Sundance
Sweet Stuff
Baby Shady-thrift store
Lily flutter pony
Baby Stockings
Mimic-apparently she was a whole $1.50! That's what is written under her hoof
Locket-first I remember getting, from a flea market
Sugarberry- my super favorite! Always said she was sister of Scoops that my cousin had because they were both TAF and in the same pose
Dancing Butterflies
Up Up and Away
Tropical Breeze-flea market
Cloud Puff?
Princess Primrose-thrift store with Perfume Puff Parlor
Milkweed
Creamsicle-found at the same time as Baby Shady
Strawberry Surprise
Blueberry Baskets
High Flyer
Lady Flutter
Baby Tappy
Raincurl?
Petite Ponies- regular set and the Crystal set
Beautybloom
Baby Brightbow
Little Giggles

Persian My Little Kitty set

G2-only ones I remember in store
Berry Bright
Morning Glory
Sky Skimmer
Ivy
Sundance
Sugarbelle

My sister and I had about 40 between us.  Hers have all migrated over into my custody over the years.  I don't always remember who's are who's on some.

Medley- my very first pony, sadly left behind at a McDonalds.
Hearthrob- bought to replace Medley but also lost at some point.

I still have:
Glory
Starshine
Bowtie
Moondancer
2 purple Embers- one for each of us
Mail order Stocking
Sky flyer
Suprise
Shady
Zig Zag
Baby Tiddly Winks and Nursery
Sweet Celebrations Family
Dancing Butterfles
Sugar berry
Braided Beauty
Moonstone
sherbert
Princess Dawn
Cherries Jubilee
Sea flower
Tropical breeze
4 of the summer wings
2 adult seaponies
4 baby seaponies
2 packs of petites
And a few other ponies I can't remember the name to at the moment.

My parents would usually buy us ponies at the same time so that in our respective herds we would each have a pony from the same set, I.e. We each had a Brush and Grow, a TAF, a SoSoft, etc.

Oooh.. this is a good challenge! Let's see how quickly I can recall them all... Over about 5 glorious pony years these girls were the childhood herd...

Bow Tie, SS Shady were the first... from there the order's fuzzy! I also had Big Top and Toppy, Foamy the seapony, Nightglider and TAF Buttons, Princess Sparkle, Cocoberry and Peppermint Crunch... Braided Beauty and Honeysuckle the flutter pony (who was my only garage sale pony). And Sand Digger! She was my last store bought pony :(

Doh. Ok, just checked a photo - I also had Little Flitter - how could I forget her!

I think that's all of them! And I'm going to sneak in that the first pony I bought as an adult collector was Powder  :inlove:

Uhm I remember a couple, cause I had let go so many and then recover them again when I was on my 20´s, let me see:

skydancer, moondancer, magic hat, dance and prance, pina colada, sweet step ballerina.
barnacle, cotton candy, blossom, twilight, a couple of babies, sundae best. bride, sisters, sparkles, glow and show, posey, applejack, minty.

But for sure now I do have lot more than what I  used to have when I was a kid.

Omg cant believe I really cant remember them !

I had loads <3 Including Cotton Candy, Bow Tie, Gusty, Blossom, Gypsy, Strawberry Fair, Tiny Bubbles, Sweetie, Fireball, Peachy, Honeysuckle, Majesty, the Apple Delight Family (Mummy, Daddy, son and daughter) Baby Half Note, Baby Bow Tie, Baby Cotton Candy, Baby Tiddlywinks, Applejack, Bubbles, Wind Whistler, Masquerade, Trucker, Lemon Drop and Baby Lemon Drop, Lickety Split, Confetti, Rosedust, Dibbles and Nibbles, Magic Hat or Mirror Mirror (I can not remember which one, I possible had both), nd the white Pony Club baby. I know I had some princesess - I think definitely Princess Pearl and maybe another one, though I don't remember having any of the dragons apart from Spike. I remember playing with lots of others but my cousin and my friends all had ponies, so I don't know if the others I can think of were theirs.

I also had fakies, including a white remco named raindrop and a pale yellow one with a moulded on saddle. Though the yellow one had more horselike proportions with a slimmer body and  legs and a distinction between hooves and fetlocks.

The vast majority of mine were handed down, so my sister and I had a nice eclectic mix. Off the top of my head, I can remember...
2 Poseys, Windy, Majesty, Baby Up Up and Away, Cherries Jubilee, Sleepy Head, Pink Dreams, Snowflake, and a couple of G2s that I got from Macdonalds; there was definitely mini Silver Swirl aaaand I can't remember her name but a pink pony with purple hair and a sun for her symbol. There may have been others that I've forgotten. :P

My childhood was when G3 was on. I had only two of them, because, let's be honest, they were and are quite expensive. My mom bought me the cheaper fakies more. But out of the real stuff I had a styling size Rainbow Dash and a Ponyville series Scootaloo with her cute little scooter. I still have them and am not planning to give them up :)

I love these sorts of topics! Here's a picture I took when I started collecting in earnest (sometime around 1999, maybe? I was 11-ish if it was 1999). As you can see, they're roughly arranged by set; I had found Dream Valley by then and was learning about their releases and proper names (before that I had called them whatever I wanted, since most were secondhand.) My very first ponies were Glory and Peachy, at the same time.

These are the ponies both my sister and I owned; our collection was always conjoined. Baby Ribbs is the first pony I bought online and you can see him in the bottom right; Baby Paws and Baby Glory were also new online purchases at the time.

This is fun! Many of mine were second hand. Actually, I don't recall getting any "new".
Me, too. I do remember buying a few in stores when I was very young (two Baby Honey Pies, sparkle Baby Firefly and Baby Gusty, a few others), but I have more memories of buying them in thrift stores or receiving them from my parents.

My parents would usually buy us ponies at the same time so that in our respective herds we would each have a pony from the same set, I.e. We each had a Brush and Grow, a TAF, a SoSoft, etc.
My mom would give me and my sister ponies at the same time, too. :) I got Applejack when my sister got Butterscotch; I got Chief when my sister got a fakie, I think (I remember feeling kind of bad for her)

When I was a kid we havent the Hong Kong ponies here, just the made in Mexico ones, we had to go to USA to get them .
Then the TLCAN was on the 90s so many toys started to cross the border.

I used to have fewer when I was a child, I guess no more than 60 and have got other 80s toys.
I wasnt collecting as much as I do now.
I remembered I used to love them and start collecting on 2010.
When I got my first job and discovered I could look for them at stores or fleamarkets.
These are the ones I remember from my childhood:

Skydancer ( really dont remember which version if Mexican or Hong Kong
All the collector pose, mom and babies
blossom
cotton candy
minty
glory
The 4 Prince ponies
Dawn
Zafiro
Magic hat ( still have it with non symbol)
Moondancer mom and baby
earth babies, pegasus babies
cherries jubilee
Pina Colada ( one of my favs ( still have it)
Ballerina Ponies ( I clearly remember on going to walmart and Toys are us with my parents and saw it there).
The Bride pony
Barnacle
Dance and Prance
Glow and Show green pegasus
Medley
Firefly

Had this sets too:
Satin Slipper
Pretty Palace
The show Stable

Thats it ;)

All these happy memories make me smile..
Alas, I have nothing to contribute to this list myself. I didn't start getting ponies until 2011.
should be perma-moderated
