I have a photo of mine! I had 68 in total collected between 1984 and 1993, when I put them away for about a year. I started carboot buying in mid 1995 and we had some from clearance stores at Christmas 1994 so that was the rebeginning.

It's not a great photo, so from the back row:
Fireball, Sunburst, Thundercloud, Princess Sapphire (and Smokey), Princess Aquamarine (second hand so no dragon), Majesty (and Spike), Snowflake, Cherries Jubilee, Movie Star Shady.

Next row:
Vanilla Treat, Jazzie, Wild Flower, Starflash, (Baby Lucky, Baby Soft Steps, Baby Tippy Toes), Dancing Butterflies, Milky Way (SILVER stars bought new in the UK on UK card :P), Strawberry Fair, Lemon Drop, Peachy, Windy (my first pony), Tropical Breeze, Baby Half Note (regular eyes), Baby Tiddly Winks, Baby Blossom, Baby Tic Tac Toe.

Next row:
7 Character Bright Eyes, Little Rattles, Little Giggles, Little Lullabye, Ripple (UK), Petite Ponies Princess Moondust & Kingsley, Mummy Charm Funny Face, Sunshower (UK), Hairdo Bangles, Wriggle Pocket, Spangling Secret.

Next row:
Gypsy, Baby Brother Bright Bouquet, Baby Sister Sweet Celebrations, Baby Billie, Baby Susie, Songster, Rainbow Magic, Tuneful, Pretty Beat (purple hair), Half Note, Sweet Notes, Braided Beauty, Star Gleamer.

Next row:
Brightglow, Sparkle Sky Rocket, Baby Rainribbon, Baby Bright Bow, Yoyo, Squirmy, White Club Newborn (in my herd, her name was Beauty), Moondream, Sunset, Baby Berrytown, Baby Meadowsweet, Baby Sunbright, Cherry Treats, Masquerade.

That is all of them. I counted the two petites from the castle and the charm as ponies, thus that should total up to 68. Windy was the first, but I don't know which the last was. And actually I have just realised that neither the Birthday Pony nor Princess Sparkle are in that image, and both should be...

But that was my childhood collection.

My sister had about 20 ponies as well, between 1990 and 1993, some of which were second hand. She had Fizzy, Sprinkles, Spring Song, Starglow, Mainsail, Baby Sister Bright Bouquet, Baby Tic Tac Toe, Baby Tiddly Winks, Baby Katie, Baby Meadowsweet, Stargaze, Baby Sunbright, Hip Hop, Baby Sweet Steps, Baby Toe Dancer, Little Honey Pie and some others I don't remember without checking...

My ponies were

Windy (Rainbow)
Sweet Pop- I called her Popsicle
Gusty (SS)
Shady
Salty-I called him Tugboat
Baby Wavedancer
Princess Tiffany
Sweet Stuff
Sunnybunch-I called her Cassidy
Mirror Mirror
Dancing Butterflies
Fizzy
Whizzer
Lickety-split
Moondancer
Baby Starflower
Dazzle Glow

Dunno what happened to Windy, Salty or Baby Wavedancer. Sweet Pop had her legs chewed off by my uncle's dog Luther. Everyone from Princess Tiffany and down were given away by my mom when she decided I was too old for ponies.

I've since then reobtained Fizzy, Whizzer, Dazzle Glow, Sweet Pop, Dancing Butterflies and Gusty. I still need Mirror Mirror, Princess Tiffany, Moondancer, Shady, Salty and Windy.

@Taffeta-Who is Strawberry Fair?
*innocent face*
I used UK names in my list because those were the ponies I had as a child, and those were the only names I knew for them ;) but she's probably more familiar to you than you think O.O.

My childhood ponies, from what I can remember, were:

These ponies I still have:
Powder
Bowtie
Surfdancer

Mysteriously missing:
Bubbles
Seashell
Skydancer
Starshine
Peachy (I have her parlour)
Lemondrop (and the showstable)
Windy
Moonstone
Baby Surprise
Baby Blossom
Tickle (I even have her back card)

I never chose to part with these ponies and no one knows what happened to them - big scars - so I am on a Mission of Replacement. Now I just need Bubbles and Baby Surprise   :)

Let me try to remember...

Cotton Candy - birthday - my Dad went crazy trying to source her!
Peachy + Grooming Parlour - I personally bought this from Argos with birthday money while out in town with my babysitter
Majesty, Spike + Dream Castle - Christmas present from parents
Cascade + Waterfall set - Christmas present from Uncle

then, from what I can remember   bought individually from our local newsagents/music/toy shop or gifted to me by my grandmother / other family members -

Confetti Bride set - I took great care of her as I thought she was so pretty! Still have her wedding ring in my jewellery box, kept safe!

Flutter Ponies: Honeysuckle, Rosedust

Honeycomb, Gypsy, Snowflake, Hopscotch, Cherries Jubilee, Posey } one bought each fortnight from this release
Masquerade, Galaxy, Sweetie, Fizzy, Gingerbread (I think?)  } one bought each fortnight from this release

I am SO SURE I had the adorable Gusty but cannot remember/find her in my original storage boxes  :freak:

My friends had Bubbles, Applejack,  Show Stable, Blossom, sea ponies (I never saw them in my local shop otherwise I would have begged my Mum to buy one for me) and we used to play with our shared herds.

- - - then I "grew up" and didn't play with my toys... I would see ponies, Show Stables etc at boot sales and would get a nostalgia rush, and a big temptation to buy them but would move on and search through old 60s/70s vinyl LPs instead (I was/am heavily into music). Oh, to have a time machine!  :argh:

To date:
A few years ago nostalgia bit me on the bottom; I saw the 25th anniversary releases in TRU but only the earth CP ponies... so did not buy... then I started seeing the odd pony here and there in charity shops/boots... a few years later, I bought a few off Ebay... more recently (thanks to my interested child!) a lot more have been bought.  :good: :enthralled: :silly:

ETA:
Parasol, North Star, Lickety Split, Tootsie, Firefly, Windy,
Lucky MO from MLP Club (I was a member for 2 years)

I had around 20 ponies or so.

Moondancer, Skydancer, Parasol, Cotton Candy, Peachy, Fizzy, Forget-Me-Not, Peach Blossom, Honeysuckle, Angel, Bouquet, Cuddles, Baby Moondancer, Baby Bouncy, Baby Heart Throb (BBE), FT Baby Lickety-Split, Water Lily (sea pony), Dibbles & Nibbles . . .

That's all I can remember.  Forget-Me-Not was the only secondhand one, my sister found her abandoned by the side of the road.

Wow. I love reading everyone's lists. :) I'm sorry for those that were made to give up their childhood ponies/or they disappeared. That happened to my childhood SS Twilight after I was an adult.

I forgot to mention some of my ponies

Honeysuckle, Rosedust (I traded some Micro Beauties for her) SS Twilight (she stayed at my grandparents house) Summer Wing Skydancer.

I lost  my childhood baby sea ponies and adult Wave Dancer to mold because I played with them in the bathtub. When I got the party gift set my mom told be I couldn't put Baby Celebrate in the tub.

I think Strawberry Fair is a nice name and suits her better than Sugarberry.

Cookies for you :D I love her name. My Dad played lots of folkish music as a kid and I always thought that Strawberry Fair was a kind of pony joke on Scarborough Fayre...though it probably wasn't ;)
