Got school canceled monday! Going to hit us a little later, but so far all is good!

I have as distant cousin who lives in Sarasota, and I know we should be worried about people right now, but she shared a picture of two manatees that were stranded because the ocean is being sucked out to sea ahead of the storm surge.  I love manatees, and thankfully people got them to deeper water.  But you can imagine?  The ocean disappearing right before it comes back to flood you.  Praying for all our Florida Arena members.

Getting hit with some strong gusts at the moment. It's still south of here, making landfall now. We're prepared to stay in the laundry room when it gets worse.

Please stay safe and check in when you can. A friend of mine is in the path of the storm and said she lost power several hours ago. I saw a picture of where the ocean was supposed to be and there was no ocean there.

I keep recording with my camera but it's getting to where I can't stay outside anymore. Amazingly, we haven't lost power yet, but Sarasota is out.

I'm having a hard time getting MyRadar app to load, so I don't know what the wind is up to right now. We were having 44 sustained with 60 gusts earlier, but it's higher now.M

There's flooding all around us, including our pool. We drained it but not enough!

We evacuated yesterday morning, My partner, myself, my dog, snakes, turtles and tarantula are all safe right now, we're worried about returning home and finding damage to our stuff as we live in a trailer in a swamp we're worried about flooding and wind.
