I mean, how can anyone look at Fluttershy and think that's something a kid will want?! She looks like a ghost that's being possessed by another ghost! That's the scariest thing I've ever seen in my life!!

...hasbro why

It looks like they crossed the older dolls with the Descendants.

I was trying to think what doll series they resembled and you nailed it--very much like the Descendants series.  Which is also a Hasbro toyline, so I guess that makes sense.

Oh! Hmmm  I like that they have poseable limbs, but I don't like their faces.  The other faces were much cuter, I wonder what happend?

On the bright side, this may be the closet yet they've gotten to getting Sunset's skin color right

I love the colors, designs, even the clothes are pretty cute-  but really is it so much to ask that they have cute faces?  (I don't like the Decendent's faces either- and yes, these gals look just like em)

Rainbow Dash looks like she has just starred in a Daft Punk movie.

Their faces remind me of the characters from battle of the Planets / G-Force (early 80s cartoon)

Yeah, I don't know what it is about them... they almost have like knock-off faces ?  Which is too bad as the colors are cute- and they have at the very least, articulated arms.... ah well.

I guess I should be grateful they aren't coming up with a Jem playline- they'd probably have these faces too...

Maybe you can swap in the old heads onto the new bodies?  Probably just a ball joint, right?  And I see EQGs at thrift stores quite often.

Descendants! That's what they look like! I knew they reminded me of something, but I couldn't put my finger on it.

I didn't notice the lack of wings, oh dear :( I did notice the lack of symbols though - I really liked that... these just don't feel like they have anything to do with ponies, to me. They just look... generic.

For me it's the Lips x Ears
Real Looking Lips with Voids on the Sides and Perky Toon Ears at the top.  That's what makes them Uncanny Valley for me.

I mean come ON! I know Monster High has been revised recently but SHEESH at least Hasbro could have tried harder to mimic MHs beautiful x odd thing.. instead of american girl x pastel disease.

I guess I prefer these over the first set of EQG dolls? But when we already have the cute and accurate minis, these are just a bit too odd.

I liked the old goofy faces more. I will judge them in person but,...nit really convinced except by elbow articulation. I didn't even recognise Dash...

Edit to add that I do like Fluttershy's outfit though. I have a pretty Fluttershy doll with articulation that I rescued from a car boot sale,..hmm...she would look pretty in that dress.

By the way and a smidge off topic but does anyone ever wonder where the human world's Sunset Shimmer is?

I am so hoping these are prototypes. I mean Jeez.

Also, WHAT do we have to do to get wrist articulation??

On the plus size, the outfits are tre bien cute. Cellyzombie's already got her eyes on Pinkie's skirt - just got to wait to see if they're the same size. Argh!!

Hummmmm...I'd say they're better but I'd rather see them in person before. Not completely sure how I feel about the head size...I like Bratz but something about the size here looks a little weird.
Probably doesn't own a stolen piece of the Taj Mahal.
