Equestria Girls Dolls are making a Comeback

I think in general they're an improvement, but there are still many details I don't much care for, but I won't be buying any so it doesn't matter.

I think the head shape is much nicer, the old heads were too long and awkward with the ears jutting out the top. These heads are a natural round, which I like, but then the faces themselves are way too generic..

I mean, how can anyone look at Fluttershy and think that's something a kid will want?! She looks like a ghost that's being possessed by another ghost! That's the scariest thing I've ever seen in my life!!

Thank you! Fluttershy is definitely the most unsettling of these by far to me. Agreed with the other comment that said they all look like they're making the Dreamworks face too.

Don't like these faces at all The clothes are better at least? I found the outfits on the old ones to be total eyesores most of the time. But that's not enough to get me to buy...I'll stick to the minis for sure.

While the new clothes are nice...I dont get why they had to change the head molds... They were good as they were.

I would have liked Minis with real hair. They did it for the SSC Minis back when they owned the brand.

I think they look much better here than they do in the promo images! Pinkie and Sunset look the best to me.

Rainbow looks the weirdest to me, I don't know exactly why.

I thought the G1 EqD dolls had horrible bodies and now they have horrible eyes.
They really should have given them the unique cartoon eyes instead of these samey doe eyes. They remove the personality.

RD is the worst. She looks like an RD cosplayer. There is nothing unique about her face.

Wow, somehow Hasbro made them even worse! That's almost impressive...

The faces are so creepily uncanny valley. I wonder what the sculpts are like underneath and how they'd look repainted.

The clothes are nice though, I gotta admit. I wonder how difficult it would be to get these clothes onto the older dolls?

Also, Rarity and Rainbow somehow look even less impressive irl than the promo pics, which lowers the count of decent looking ones down to Sunset. And even she looks like she just ate something really sour...

In person they do look better, think Rarity's pic is the best. Still not 100% sold though. Cellyzombie's ask ed the account if they know what size they are. Fingers crossed...

By the way and a smidge off topic but does anyone ever wonder where the human world's Sunset Shimmer is?

I have wondered this for years. I have a couple of theories on it! But I suppose this wouldn't be the thread to discuss them in....

My opinion on the dolls is torn. I love the unique, cute clothes. I love the Sunset doll in general. Pinkie looks pretty cute, and Twilight isn't too bad. The others ... not sure what to think. I actually like the realistic route, and yet I don't like that most of the dolls have the same-ish expression. Although the old dolls often had the same expression too, but somehow it looks worse here.

After seeing the Instagram pics, Rarity looks a little better, Pinkie and Twilight still look good, Sunset looks a little more like she hasn't repented yet (but I guess she's just being Sunset), and Rainbow, Applejack, and Fluttershy still look terrible.

I think Pinkie and Twilight are the only ones who don't look absolutely hideous.  The clothes are an improvement, I'll give them that much.  But literally every other thing about these dolls is a fail.

I never thought I would prefer my old ones, but they were definitely cuter. I mean the clothes look far better but those faces...Rarity and Sunset look good, Pinkie and Twilight are meh, AJ looks deformed, Fluttershy is ugly and Rainbow... She looks like a MH character cosplaying as Rainbow Dash.And those blue hair,  come on,  even the old ones had more colors in their hair.
