Filly Reboot?

I hope it alright to ask this here, but have there been any rumors of reboot versions of the filly size ponies? I've seen the baby seaponies, and the baby hipogriff on instagram. It seems odd that they'd leave the CMC completely out of the movie merch.

There hasn't been anything about it yet, but I can imagine we'll get CMC 4.5s eventually. Maybe after the Movie merch is done?

I'm surprised about this too.
I mean, if the CMCs aren't in the movie at all, that's fine (But I bet they have a cameo, I also bet they try to throw everypony ever in, at least as a background cameo) it would make sense to keep them off the toy table at least until the movie is out / over.

But...what's really surprising is how much they love releasing the same characters over and over again with these minor changes.
Them getting their symbols was the PERFECT excuse to release the characters again and they never took it. I mean, we got ones with animal prints that made no sense but now that they have the 1 thing they're even NAMED after...and no toy? Seems strange.

I agree. When the CMC's finally earned their marks in the show, I thought Hasbro would make new versions of them with their cutie marks but so far the haven't. I bet they'll have a cameo in the movie too.

Yes, I initially thought they'd get a new release when they got their marks as well. I was hoping for packs or sets with some of the other fillies/colts who they helped in discovering their talents, like Babs Seed or Tender Taps.

But I can't imagine they're not in the movie at all so it seems strange they've been left out so far. I hope you guys are right & maybe they'll be in the next wave.

They totally missed a marketing opportunity, as they could have had them with heat sensitive symbols that appear under warm water or something. Thus the ponies can literally 'discover' them.

Now see, this would have been a totally inspired gimmick.  And they've even done that kind of thing before.  So, yeah, your right.  Hasbro always seems late to the ball.
