MLP Movie - UK Baby Sea Pony release (Aug 2017 onwards) question!

Hi there!

A question about which of these characters will be released in the UK - I have so far bought 4 of the 8 (as per the leaflet enclosed with each toy) but I keep seeing the same 4 for sale! Have the UK just been given these ones or am I just being impatient? 

Well, I have visited Smyths and Asda, all I can see are the following:

Sun Twist*
Sea Foam*
Crystal Pearl*
Ocean Gem*

Waiting to get the following:

Bubble Splash
Jelly Bee
Sea Poppy
Lilly Drop

I have just noticed - the ones that I have are noted with a * on the leaflet but I cannot see anywhere that explains what the * is for!  Is this some sort of code for release waves? Anybody know?

My child is having lots of fun playing with these ponies in the bath, they are the perfect little gift to give as rewards - I have only given her two so far - she needs to carry on being good if she wants the rest!

Interesting.  None of my baby sea ponies came with a leaflet.  But the ones I've seen here in the states are

Lilly Drop

Haven't seen or heard anything about the other four you listed.

The ones you're finding are the Wave 2 babies. Did they skip over Wave 1 in the UK?

I know some people have shown off Crystal Pearl, but I haven't seen Ocean Gem, Sun Twist or Seafoam anywhere, so perhaps they aren't out yet.

Hmmm perhaps they will show up in a few weeks? I'll keep checking the stores...

Ooh very interesting! Here in the US we still have that same shape of plastic that would allow an insert to fit in, yet there's no insert.

I've been in Lisbon at a conference but I'm back home now. I'll go do a sweep of my local stores this week if I can and see if I can find anything. I have to go home home this weekend because I have to see the dentist so I can probably canvass both London and the Midlands and see what I find. I am not sure I want any of the baby sea ponies, but I don't mind finding out what (if anything) is on shelves as I remember with the pearlies TRU had wave 2 straight away and wave 1 only later but Entertainer had wave 1 for ages.

Entertainer also list the other four (the wave 2) as being in stock now, so looks like we're getting them the other way around. Maybe the insert only comes with wave 2 as wave 2 completes the set. The US are doing things properly, like when they only put stuff on shelves to release date. The UK don't care and just shove whatever out whenever
