MACAU SnuzzleDrop : original tail ?
« on: September 03, 2017, 07:31:23 AM »
Hey every ponyfriend !

I went to a flea market and I have found a Snuzzledrop from Macau ; I was quite happy about it !
Her head has no glue, but I know that some Nirvanas don't have some ;
As it was from a flea market,  I don't think the seller did touch the girl, but I am still curious :

Is this the original stuff to tie the tail ? Is this the common way for Macau ponies ?
I have Jenny and also a Macau Cotton Candy but never removed their head.

here is the picture of how the tail is tied up : https://imgur.com/a/Ybqw8

Thank you a lot !!

I have no experience with Macaus ponies. But I do know Italian Ponies have a rope knot and a weird iron thingy around their tails.

But what I do find odd is that it looks like the tail isn't folded in half like it usually is. It looks like just a small piece of it is folded. Which makes it look really weak to me. As if you can pull out the hairs easily when combing it.

I once owned a Yum Yum, the seller said nothing had been done to the hair when I contacted her. Because after I got her I found out her head was also loose and her tail wasn't folded in half but just a small part, just like yours and it was tied with a zip-tie and the tail looked very unprofessional. No factory bounce, not styled. Yours however...I can't say for sure.

Yeah that looks like what you should find when you open a Macau... sounds like you were lucky and got one with an actual tail clamp.  Sometimes they are just tied inside with two strings.

I have no idea why none of the Nirvana ponies have washers with any regularity - seriously they can't be that pricey!

That is a nirvana tail washer :) It looks very similar to and Italian tail washer.

I don't have any Macau ponies to hand, but I do know they usually have glued on heads.

THank you a lot !

I also have another problem : the fact that there are some trims bother me : what would be the best way to restaure her ? I guess mosty keep the original material of how the tail is tied up. But these loose much shorter hair bother me :/

Thank you sooo much  :awake:

I personally wouldn't do anything to it. I would put the tail back and don't bother too much with it. Because thet chance that you mess it up even more is quite big. I try to never mess with Italian tail washers either.

I think it's just the way it was made. like I wrote in my first post.

I'd leave the tail as it is :) if it bothers you, you could retail her, save her original tail though so if you sell her you can sell it with her.

Some nirvana ponies can look like they've had hard cuts or have uneven hair, because that's just how they were made.

It's hard to tell if your ponies tail was trimmed by her owner or that's just how her tail turned out in the factory.
