i have her, but i really need an upgrade! half of mine's mane was dry rotted and fell out when i got her :'-O

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that common for ponies with hair that's a certain shade of pink or with ponies that are exclusives from certain places (dollar stores, Avon, etc...)? I know there's been threads on the arena but I can't remember if the cause for the rotting is that shade of pink (and whatever is used to make it) or that the ponies at bargain places were likely made with cheaper materials.

Northstar is right.
Sunrise is an example of the 'dollar store' G3 who has the cheaper nasty/dry type of hair. You can even see it in the photo at the top of the thread: the ends are no good. Basically, if these got opened and even played with a tiny bit, the hair would do poorly. Which is a total shame because that creamy peachy color is just so nice.

There's another shade of exclusively a dark pink that chemical-reacts with its own glue if exposed to sun, and then snaps all of it off. There's I think a what...a Easter one? And I know for sure a plasticheads plush G3 that suffers this & she's really hard to get because of it. And they weren't bargain bin like the Amazon or Dollar ones, it's just an unfortunate reaction.

I have her though, and I really like her. She's quite pretty in person, though simple in her design, their color choice brings her up in my opinion.
