I was really beating myself up, as I have been struggling emotionally and on my progress, but this "always room for improvement, isn't there" made me feel better and gave me some hope:)

My progress lately is terrible since I am still dealing with my illness. I did eat a large salad today instead less healthier food.

1. Drink 64 oz of water every day
2. Get an activity in at least 5 days a week-walk, bike ride
3. At least 2500 steps if not more
4. Track my meals on my Fitbit app
5. Do my PT exercises twice a day for the first set, and once every hour for the 2nd set
6. Do one productive activity (need to make a list) each week if not more

I am not doing well at all. My back has been bad and I missed work today and Monday. I think I need to focus on one or two goals because having a bunch is making me not do any. I will focus on drinking water and doing PT as those are most important right now. I did clean off the table today which is big for me as it is my catchall spot in the house. It drives my husband crazy when it's messy like it was. I need to be better at following and posting to the thread.

Way to go on the salad ponyfan:) small steps can help with future big leaps:) still sending some good vibes and prayers for recovery

GOOD to hear from you poshmonster:)

This us why I love healthy pony. You get to adjust your goals, so you have success as you keep going. I used to buy fast good and eat at home like 3-5 times a week. It too several rounds of healthy pony, and I got it to maybe 3 times a month. I still have bad moments, but I don't fall apart or go back to over eating fast food.

Other than knitting, that is all I have done. Still trying to earn points for the watch, not doing well. Not good work out...hmmm I think I am going to change my system. 10 points for posting here. Tend to wait for someone else to post..so getting a bonus for posting. 5 poi ts for each item. So I work out it's 5, if I ate well 5 and so forth. 10 if I practice piano. I can do this

WE CAN DO THIS
4 pages to go and we will meet our first team goal of 10 pageas!!!

Post Merge: September 15, 2017, 03:29:36 PM

So 5 points for posting, 0, for not good eating good due to birthday party, 5 points for knitting, 0 for not working out, and....10 for playing piano!!!!!! I am so embarrased:( I have not been playing so easy stuff sounds terrible. I hope this doesn't discourage me...it tends to. Music way to easy boars me, to hard and I feel bad for letting myself go so long...sigh.

So 20/100 that I need for the watch. I dud snag the movie DO Pony and Big Mac, so I need to get points for them too. If I get up to 300 points before November I will buy Soarin. Gotta find motivation.

I shall appologize now....i stink at spelling, and tend to up date on my phone. Well my phone also likes to correct my correct words, or find misspelled words and leave them...and I tend to be lazy and not check myself:p hehe

Thank you Crowning Glory. I am feeling better but am not back up to where I was before my illness. I walked 2 times around the mall yesterday for the first time in several days.  My grocery store was having a sale on Gatorade Propel water for $1 a bottle so I picked up two and tried one today. It's pretty goo. I will probably buy some more of it and it has zero calories. :)

I know you can earn enough points for that watch Crowing Glory. :) I try to reward myself every once in a while too but I need to decide what my next one will be.

I'm back, and on a Sunday, which is my scoring day, whoot... I'm finally doing this the way I had originally planned and intended! (bonus points for meeee!!)

Honestly guys, don't stress about having too many goals, just prioritize them. I have a daily goal (except Sunday, that's rest day), and 3 of those are my major goals for the week. It can be something as basic as do the laundry, or apply for a job. I don't always get my daily things done, but if I get my weekly stuff done (that's 3 good days out of 7) I consider it a win. Motivation is hugely tough, especially for those of us with anxiety, depression, physical disabilities, or chronic pain. And if you need to take a break, take one! It's all part of learning to be happy, it's okay if you have a bad day, tomorrow can be better. Always remember that.

This week I had 3 major goals:
Clean my desk
Exercise on Thursday
Eat well all week

I didn't do my desk, (which was Friday's task) but I did my clothing drawers instead, because I had to switch my seasonal wardrobe over early because the weather has changed really abruptly, and searching for clothing was driving me crazy, and finding things to wear was frustrating. I really can't afford to be a frustrated, angry crying mess right now, I'm actually getting somewhere, so the desk will have to wait until next week. I did eat reasonably well, at least most days, and when I didn't, it was with hubby, and I compensated with extra exercise. I'll have to have another chat with hubby about how important it is to be supportive of my new lifestyle, he's been really great except with eating utter crap in front of me all the time.

Okay, scores and week overview:

13th: 3/5. Starting with Wednesday, which is where I left off last time. I had planned to do some browband work, but am waiting on supplies. So I did a workout instead, might as well keep one goal in perspective, however I did eat pretty awfully... there was a macdonald's trip I had to atone for!

14th: 5/5. Thursday I worked my gigantic butt off. I walked the South circuit, did my interval workout, and did my stretches. I went shopping and found something for a trade I'm in, and did my weigh in, and I've lost another kg. So proud of myself!

15th: 5/5. Didn't get my goal done, which was my desk, but I organised my drawers instead, and have a huge bag of clothes to be donated.  I also got onto the computer and sourced some new supplies for my browbands, as one supplier hasn't had stock I need for almost 2 weeks.

16th: 4/5. Did some ebay listings, but not as many as I'd hoped.

17th: 5/5. Today, rest day, but managed to get on here and update as planned, and I applied for some jobs. Amazingly constructive day, despite not really having any big goals. Super proud of myself.

I've had a really great week this week.

It's great seeing everyone working towards their goals. I've been slacking in the last week, need to get out of that. So today I'm going to move my butt and not sit on it all day
-Got a craft item to pack up for shipping, and paperwork to do for it.
-Map out social media posts for the week (Twitter and Facebook).
-Maybe some craft photography, if I can squeeze it in.
-Dishes, maybe some vacuuming.

Stormness: you are killing it! Way to go on not only reaching goals but staying motivated. What do you do for exercise?

What does everyone do for exercise if that's is part of your goal/daily to do's?  I am trying to at least walk and do my PT. I didn't do it yesterday like I should've. I just wish my back would straighten out. Ever since our wedding it has been worse and I am suffering with it. I actually have an MRI on Wednesday and PT tomorrow.

I am still struggling with getting even my two goals in. I used to be so good at prioritizing and finishing goals. I need a list to cross them off of but I seem to either lose them or have multiple strewn around which ensures nothing gets done. Sometimes I just feel like I used to be better at life in general. I got used to not having a regular job throughout college and seem to not be as good at getting stuff done with working during the day. I feel like I got more done even when I worked nights because I was home during the day. No matter when I work I am always exhausted anyway.

I know part of my problem is anxiety. I am off meds now in hopes of pregnancy within the next year or so. I do have another that is safer in pregnancy that I can try but trying not to. Thing is is that if I am having a bad anxiety day, I am only ok if I am not at work because controlling it gets out of hand.

I must strive for discipline, organization, and motivation!  As CG and Kiwi, I hope to do better starting today. Sorry for the novel but thank you if you got through it. If not, I understand  .

No worries on the novel...i do it too:) as for exercise I have a max trainer bow flex, walk, I also do a sequence of simple items. So 30sec plank, 10 reps of different style of crunches, run in place, ECT. Most of this is in front of a tv, as i get board and helps me work out for 30 min, same amount as a tv show:)

GOOD LUCK towards pregnancy:) I am in your boat too. It's why I want to keep myself moving, as they say it helps a growing healthy baby:) you can do it. I tend to have a g4 pony with me, so I can play with its hair when I feel my anxiety is  unmanageable .

I also have a planner. I write down what I want to do in a day and cross off the task I finish at the end of the day:) I am not awesome at it, but helps most days:)

Ooh - may I join? I have just been reading through these inspirational posts... lurking for a while, too... and now want to sign up!

________________________________________________________
My goals to reach in 3 months:

Health: improve it! Get to mid-BMI healthy weight
1. Continue eating within my daily calorie allowance
2. HIIT exercises at least 3x week at the gym
3. Daily logging of food/exercise via online diary (My Fitness Pal)

House: sell it! (by the end of the year? or spring time)
4. clear overgrown garden (trees + shrubs)
5. clear out stored junk (lots to sort)
6. get house on the market to sell (by end of September?)

________________________________________________________

Words of encouragement to everyone

Six months ago I made a (slow + nervous) start by joining a gym - starting out *seriously* unfit and barely able to complete a session; I felt guilty that I was somehow holding everyone else back, but the coaches encouraged me and I plodded on - as just turning up makes a difference!

A slogan painted on their wall says "slow progress is still progress" - so, so true!

As one of the most unfit people there, I just tried my best (the coaches adjusted the exercises to suit my level) and guess what? My stamina and strength (slowly) improved! By 2 months I noticed my shoulders and upper arms had toned-up and my underwear was beginning to feel loose! By 3 months I could do a "proper" push-up (tight tummy, no knees!) now, 6 months on, I still have things I cannot do (evil wall walks - you-tube it to see) but I can do so many other things, better pull-ups and chin-ups, high box jumps and my strength is SO improved; you can do it too! Oh... and I have lost some weight!

Tiny steps are easier to take - yes, it is tedious having to wait to see any results but you will get there! Your patience will be tested (daily!) just try your best and if you fail to do something one day, just start again next day (really difficult to do but this is where you have to test your mental strength) so be kind to yourself. For example - some of the young lads at the gym had only been there a few weeks and managed to get instant results, for me it took longer and I felt a bit rubbish about it but I GOT THERE IN THE END!

So now, I need to continue onward; I have already reached one of my milestones (to be withing healthy BMI by this month) now I want to see if I can reach a mid-BMI healthy weight by Christmas. I use a FREE online tool to record everything that I eat (I even weigh stuff to see exactly how much I am eating - that was an eye-opener...) and this tool has helped me the most to combine the effects of exercise and diet - I eat what I want, but only up to a certain daily calorie budget; any exercise I do I log on my diary and it GIVES BACK calories so I can get away with having a full roast dinner and not feel guilty

House clearance + eventual sale

A bit of a nightmare as I have to travel half an hour into the next county to spend time there between the school-runs and life in general, so my time is limited and precious. Thankfully autumn is here so the weeds have given up sprouting everywhere; I bought a petrol brush-cutter and had some fun chopping the brambles and shrubs down - but still so much left to do. The recent wet weather has forced me indoors so last week I was popping inside to sort through old drawers, boxes, remove mouldy carpets, sort out junk. The local tip/dump is one where you have to throw pre-sorted rubbish in the correct bays so I have had to make space for piles of paper, metal, household, carpets etc. Another trip planned for tomorrow morning, I must crack on with it... I have already spoken with estate agents and solicitors so that part of things is covered.

Anyway, that's my (long) intro, good luck folks with your daily goals!!
