ID help G2 Morning Glory : heat/cold reactive symbol??
« on: August 06, 2017, 07:32:24 AM »
Hi my dear pony fellows :)

I visited a fleamarket today and had some ponyluck after such a long time with finding no pony at all. Well long story short, I picked up a G2 Garden Playset filled with G2 ponies and accessories. Got home and opened it to find a total of 6 G2 ponies <3 and a handful of stuff. I have already identified the pieces that go with the playset (complete yaaaay <3) but there is a pony I cant really find much information on.

It seems I have the Royal Wedding Princess Morning Glory set of 1999, Clever Clover is there, so is his cape, one gold ring and one tiara. Also Morning Glory is there, matching pose from the pics I found at google but... she has a different symbol. One side is "normal", blue flowers and leaves and the other side is the same plus three purple clovers. They are not scribbled on by a kid and even though I dont have much experience on G2 I can say they appear to be factory made.

the lighter color on one clover is from the flash)

EDIT : found out that the clovers are heat / cold reactive! Heat makes them disappear, cold brings them back! Anybodys got more information on that??
She does not have any clovers on one side. They are not faded or something, they are not there. The clovers on the other side are visible even when "gone", you can see that there is something.

Do you have any information on this maybe? Ill be happy about any thought! :)

I think you have IDed her correctly.

You can see very faint clovers on the picture of her from the wiki.

Oh yay thats cool ! :D thank you both! Its so hardly visible on the pics on google.
Just realized : the clovers disappear when being touched. Is that something like the G1 Sweet Kisses pony lipstick? Gotta check with cold water when I clean them :P

Lucky! She is one of the last 4 g2 ponies that I need to complete my loose collection! Her symbols are supposed to be the same on Both sides but they can fade.

Thank you :)
It though contains no info on her symbol; its heat/cold reactive, I just tried it. Cold brings them back, heat lets them fade (clovers only, not the flowers). But she does not have any clovers on one side. They are not faded or something, they are not there. The clovers on the other side are visible even when "gone", you can see that there is something.
