« on: July 16, 2017, 05:19:01 AM »
So I wanted to make a signature dress for my Apple White doll but i don't know what fabric to use.... Can someone who has the signature Apple tell me what fabric is used and take some pictures??? I was also searching for a good pattern.

Thanks!

The red material that is used on the bodice, skirt and petals, is this kind of stiff satin, really common in doll clothing, and most Ever After High clothing use it it. Examples of this fabric ( just as a reference so you know what i'm talking about) :
- Signature Maddie's dress ( purple skirt part)
- Petals on signature Raven's skirt
- Signature Blondie's dress ( skirt part)
You know what i'm talking about... Apple's jacket is also made out of the same fabric
The black fabric is a type of polyester chiffon similar to the one on signature Maddie's dress. (bottom layer of skirt)

I have found a pattern of her dress, it looks pretty easy to follow: http://summercorn.deviantart.com/art/Ever-After-High-Apple-White-Dress-Pattern-443667384

As for the jacket, here is a good doll jacket tutorial that you can alter:

The tights fabric is just a tulle-ish fishnet stocking material, you can find it for pretty cheap. Here is a tutorial on doll tights:

That's about it! Hope i helped!

P.S: For the designs on Apple's dress, you can use watered down acrylic paint and a good quality fine paint brush, when it's dry, go over the dress with an iron.
....beware the sorcerer cat.....
