This is great!
And Sia is even going to be in the movie as Songbird Serenade or something the pony. Will she sing a song into the movie soundtrack? It's cool if this animator chose Sia without knowing she'd be in the movie. I would bet the video gets even more popular when the movie comes out.

The animation was really good...very show-like. But maybe a bit better in certain small ways?
The eyelashes wiggle when she blinks. The face also seemed proportional the whole time/without the features 'migrating' around the head like they do on the show. The song isn't my biggest fave, but whoever this is has a real talent going on. I hope they do another!

I found two previous animations by this person about six months apart.

is more two-dimensional and the mouth movements are the best I've ever seen, and moving into three dimensions for the next project was super-audacious and very well executed.  Description says this is six months of work, hundreds of hours poured in and while I don't know how many hours others pour into theirs, i think most other animators spend two or three years on a project like this.

This Sam Studio seems to be from China and is a real up-and-comer and I think we can look forward to more amazing work that blows our socks off.  While this particular video has some imperfection in the physical realism, I'm sure he? is going to get a lot better with more practice and it's already far better than most other stuff I've seen....in particular the part where the pony goes from sitting down to standing up while turning around....just a hugely difficult dynamic rotating move to accomplish and it's done so matter-of-factly here and it's just so amazing.

As to knowing Sia's going to be in the movie...did we know that 6 months ago?  Probably a happy coincidence.

It's real clear that there is a lot of new talent joining in all the time and I hope to join them and do something good.  I'm still just learning to draw right now though....
