So... What's the deal with this G4 Fashion Style 2-pack?

I've been looking for this set, but none seem to exist! Where/when was it released? Was it a retailer exclusive? An international release? A limited edition?

I wanna say it was released at  kohl's exclusively but I'm not sure

I never heard of it actually being released, I'm probably wrong tho. I got mine from Taobao.

I only saw maybe one or two of them in hand back in the day. Rainbow Power had notoriously terrible distribution, especially the later sets. I want to say that this FS pack, the other pack with FS Twilight with rainbow paint on her wings, as well as other sets like the second wave of the snowglobe princesses, the train set with Fluttershy, the spa set with Star Dreams, and the second Mrs. Cake set, were exclusive to smaller discount stores in the US only and were very rare to find at the time, let alone now.

A couple of those were actually Kohls exclusives - not quite a discount store And from what I can tell were consistently released across the stores and online. Kohls does tend to be rather expensive to start with though, and we frequently only get new toy stock in store around Christmas. So a lot of these sets actually lingered online for quite a bit of time.

Rainbow Power ponies did have a mess of a release though. There are quite a few that are difficult to locate/expensive if you do.

From what I recall those were only really seen in Australia, New Zealand, and SE Asia.  But they were made.

These were available in Canada at Superstore if I remember correctly, along with some of the others mentioned. I don't think distribution was very good.
