I had fleas when I first moved into my apt (I have no pets, so just my luck). I bombed everything in my apt, and then went and washed all my laundry. It seemed to work, no more fleas!

I second what everyone is saying about repeatedly washing and cleaning everything. We had them on my dog growing up, and my mom had to just keep washing, cleaning etc until they were gone. We never bombed, but had hardwood floors.
