Hello, I'm new here...
« on: July 04, 2017, 11:22:12 PM »
Well hello, I'm Susan, 19 and a Law Uni undergraduate from England.

Actively, I've only been collecting for little under a year, however, most of my ponies I've owned since I was a little girl. I only collect G1 and have around 147 of them now; I also have a larger collection of G3 which I aggressively hoarded as a child, but no longer seek them out.

Here is my somewhat display, right next to my shoe collection as I'm a woman of many passions.

Till last year they were living inside a box on top of a wardrobe. I'd take them out every year or so for the nostalgia, however, I recently noticed that the box was rusting and the ponies were getting stained, rust marks on their hair and bent legs from being squished together so long. I decided to clean them up and put them on display (as they deserve), to make up for the years of neglect.

My favourite pony is Bouquet. I just think she's incredibly beautiful,

As well as her appointed boyfriend (since I'm a hopeless romantic and like pairing my ponies off) Chief. I got him from Ebay, somebody had given him a Mohawk and though I intend to re-root him at some point, I have to admit he looks pretty cool.

I also have two love-to-hate / hate-to-love ponies;

These creepy creatures, which seem to be after my soul. One of them has an eye that doesn't always open fully, just one... which adds to the distress.

As well as my zombie plush, with its mouth open it even looks ravenous for brains.

Why thank you!

I shall try, but no promises. Zombie Plush has been starved for quite some time.

Welcome from another UK person and LOL, yes, awesome post :D

The BBE babies are sort of notorious for the zombie stare, but they're cute in their own way...

As for the Zombie plush, she looks like the kind who might eat your socks in the night. Just saying. You might want to watch that. You can never be too careful about missing socks.

A mother pony can be protective of her young just like dogs.

Yaay welcome to the arena!  I love your collection set free from their box and so wonderfully displayed!  Especially that great big Cotton Candy hanging out down there with the shoes and your zombie-eyed G1 plush.

You have two of my favorite ponies paired up, and they are great specimens too!  Lots of us love our pony romance!

If you need rehairing advice or cleanup advice etc we have lots of that to be found in the Pony Corral, and whenever you feel like looking at our ponies or sharing more pics of yours the place for that is the Pony Brag forum.  We love to see each others ponies!

I fell in love with BBEs pretty quick.  Some think they're creepy (they've captured my soul but don't hunger for brains!) but I love their glassy little eyes and earnest expressions and any eye flaws are pretty common especially that lazy eye; I have some with that problem...it's kinda fun when one is winking or opens more slowly.  Any eye problems are fixable if you want though.  I like to put big eyelashes and renewed eyeshadow on mine, so cute!

So great to have you and your ponies here, hope you have a great time!
