I picked up volumes 4-6 of Takane and Hana today. I need Fruits Basket 7-12 but 7 is out of stock at my bookstore, Amazon and a major bookstore online. :(
Why does this always happen when I get interested in a manga series? There's always at least one volume I have trouble getting.

I guess cos the new series is coming, everyone is doing the same thing as you!

It's not quite reading manga, but I have the drama cds for the Even a Worm arc for Saiyuuki manga here on my ipod. I'm reminding myself just how badly they wrecked the arc in the Gunlock anime.

Really hope to see Hazel again in the manga, even it it makes anime creator brains hurt. With Furuba getting a remake, I still hold out hope one day Gunlock will be replaced with a proper Even A Worm animated arc.

I bet you're right Taffeta about why I'm having trouble finding volume 7 of Fruits Basket.

I think the new anime starts airing in April in Japan? I wonder when other countries will get it?

I imagine not that long after since as far as I can see Funimation already has a placeholder for it...

I didn't realize Funimation already had a placeholder for the new Fruits Basket anime,

I think anything can happen with animie. Hopefully another version of Saiyuuki will do justice to the Even the Worm arc.  :)

I think it's doubtful since they already skipped over it to do the next arc. Though this arc refers back to events in EAW, it's still like water under a bridge. But Saiyuuki has been going on and off for 20 years and has had on and off anime in that time, so I live in hope.

And yes, Funimation already has a placeholder :D exciting times.

Meanwhile I need to get around to ordering #29 of Yona.

Oh I see. Sailor Moon ,Fruits Basket and Your Name are the only manga that I’m reading and seen the anime /most of the anime for.

I just finished Volune 6 of Fruits Basket

Spoiler
It might just be me but the further I read the more Shigure seems to be playing both sides (looking out for Tobru and also trying to keep in good standing with Akito.

I picked up Volumes 9 and 10 of Fruits basket today. After I got home I noticed that Vol 9 is missing the mini jacket with the summary. At first I thought maybe the book I bought was flawed but then I noticed a reviewer on Amazon said that their Volume 9 was also missing the mini jacket. I even checked the book covers to see if someone had torn away the mini jacket but it looks like this edition just wasn't made with mini jacket. It seems a little strange for 1 volume out of the series to not have it.

Is * an actual volume or did you just hit the shift key when hitting the 8? :)

I still need to go buy Yona #29. I just don't want to pay shipping from Japan for just one book...*sobs*.

Is shipping from Japan expensive?

Currently re-reading Uraboku (aka Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru...there's a reason everyone just calls it 'Uraboku' ahaha) from the beginning <3 I can't actually count how many times I've read it by now, to be honest. This series is so good and seriously underrated. Also re-reading No. 6 from the beginning, as well. I need to re-read the novel again too.

Aside from that, I'm keeping up with the translations of the Mo Dao Zu Shi manhua!

I still need to buy the last couple of volumes of Uraboku actually. I could do that :) The problem I have with Uraboku is that Hotsuma is my favourite character so the moment main attention slips onto the third set of zweilt I kind of lose interest and get distracted xD. Though I do like Tsukumo.

@Ponyfan - it is, so when you're paying say $5 for a book and then $20 for the shipping, it makes more sense to try and get your money's worth. The problem then though is the custom threshold as they do charge custom fees for that too. But they don't stock Yona in the Japanese book shop in London. I've checked :( They used to stock Haruka, which was lucky, but not Yona.

Still waiting to see if Haruka 6 makes it to anime. Albeit I still need to read all of Haruka 6's manga, I just have kind of lost the first four volumes at home somewhere so volumes 5 and 6 are folornly sitting with my Yona ones waiting...

I'm hoping to pick up the last 2 volumes of Fruits Basket or the next 2 volumes of Takane & Hana soon. Has anyone read Shortcake Cake?
