Tell us about it. What was your first G2?
Miss Dainty Dove My mom got her as a present for me because I was sick and upset that I missing something. She was off looking for another toy I wanted but couldn't find it. So she decided that Dainty Dove would make me feel better. Honestly it was a miss back then Oh if only I knew what I do now...

When did you first encounter them in stores?
I never did that I remember.

Who are some of your favorites?
Obviously Dainty Dove, Ivy from the Pretty Parlor (I wanted that set as a kid, no idea where I actually saw her though lol). Silver Swirl is another favorite, not that I knew she existed back then.

How many do you have now and then?
Dainty Dove was an only pony, I have lost count for now... running through a list in my head I think I have 52? With another 20 something whose transactions are currently still going on lol.

Do you still have any of your childhood ponies?
Nope, I can't find a single piece from that set.

Any special memories?
Dainty Dove and I didn't spend much time together, but the veil from her playset I used so freaking often. I was in love with that thing, and the ring until I accidentally broke it. I remember my step sister getting a Magic Motion Ivy and telling her it wasn't a real MLP because it didn't look like a G1. I also remember getting mad at her because we got in trouble for not cleaning our room so I threw a bunch of her stuff in the trash since she refused to help. Ivy and some of her playset pieces were among the casualties, she was so mad after that, which is what I was going for. Looking back though I totally wish I had stashed her somewhere instead. my step sister stole a ton of my toys so I can honestly say I wouldn't feel bad about having her pony now

Any ponies you dislike?
Dislike not really - not as fond of as the others though the ones with the bubble necks so their heads can moves, and the CMaT ponies.

What was your first G2?

I believe Sky Skimmer was the first one

When did you first encounter them in stores?

I must have been 6 years old, I know I moved to Ottowa before I did so....

Who are some of your favorites?

Of my childhood ones I think Sky Skimmer. Including everything, I really like the Unicorn ones and the ones with clip on wings, Eve because of her dolphin motif, Princess Trixiebelle, I'd love to get some of the ones with magic items and Festivities with her playset too

How many do you have now and then?

I had eight as a child: Sky Skimmer, Morning Glory, Petal Blossom, Beauty Parlor Ivy, Canopy Bed Light Heart, Magic Motion Sun Dance , and the Light Heart & Sun Dance set.

Right now I think I have about 30, I still have my childhood ones and picked up a good few when I first started collecting. I have mostly completed my set of ponies from the first two years (one of the few I'm missing is Dainty Dove & her playset) and I've got a good number of European ones including all the unicorns, most of the winged ones, a few set, the couples ones, and the holiday Ponies (for the most part I went after small sets where I could get the whole thing easily)

I still have almost everything I've ever owned, including all my Ponies; I'm not sure where most of them are but my original Ivy is on my desk

Any special memories?

Well finding them at all was really special for me; I've mentioned this before but for a while My Little Pony was something I had heard of but couldn't ever find anything of apart from having seen Escape From Catrina once, but since I enjoyed other shows from that time through renting VHS tapes I really wanted to see it. Later I would see that they were completely different from the first generation toys, but they were My Little Pony toys and that's all that mattered

Not Really, though some I don't understand why they're so sought after

Light Heart with canopy bed.

When did you first encounter them in stores?

I think I was in the 6th grade, or maby 5th.

Who are some of your favorites?

Princess Silver Swirl, Ivy, Princess Crystal, Tipsy Tulip, Lady Sky Skimmer.

How many do you have now and then?

I havent counted in years my G2's, but Id say I have over 100 easly.

Do you still have any of your childhood ponies?

Yes I do.

Any ponies you dislike?

I dont dislike the ponies, but the pose. Queen Sun Sparkle - pose. It dosent work anyway and makes the otherwise elegant pony look not-elegant.

MM Ivy!

When did you first encounter them in stores?
1997, after I saw the commercial on TV. I practically begged my mom to take me to the toystore haha

Then, maybe 20. Now all of them, including some duplicates and customs... 200+?

All!

Any special memories?
I used to replay the G1 movie with my G2 ponies. Only Princess Twinkle Star was the only flutter

Any ponies you dislike?
The Chaning Mane and Tail ones. Just eh...
And I'm not fond of some of the MM mechanisms
