POTD 6/14/2017 Bubbles

i have her (in really bad condition). she came to me with no hair already, so i decided to use her for a dying experiment. so now shes just sitting in my bait box...a yucky green...

would REALLY love to get an upgrade. I have seashell already. just need a bubbles upgrade and a ladybird...

I don't only want her, I NEED her: she was part of my original childhood herd that went missing and I am trying to replace. I have Seashell now, but not Bubbles yet. It is Very Sad...

Yeah, have her. Two or three, possibly, as I think my sister has a couple of her own as well as the one in my cupboard. I am not a huge fan of the sitting ponies and if I had to choose would probably prefer Seashell, she had a cuter character in the UK stories as the "sand pony", but I do think that these two are quite unique. I am not sad Hasbro didn't continue to use the pose, and I am sad there aren't standing versions of them both, but they do rather stand out like this.

Never been sure about the blaze, mind you. Again, I think maybe it suits Seashell better.

I have her!! I love her pose, I wish they'd used it more. And I love her beautiful forehead blaze, too, it's so pretty and I just love her, aaa.

I wanted him (Bubbles was a guy to me) sooo badly!  I asked for him multiple Christmases in a row, not understanding that Hasbro discontinued ponies after one year.  My sister made a pipecleaner pony and told me it was named Bubbles, trying to placate me.  I pretended to be grateful but, I've got to be honest, I did not particularly like or play with "fake Bubbles."  When I started collecting (the late 90s) MLPs were still very common in thrift stores, and it wasn't long before I found Bubbles.  I was so happy!

That's a great story! I never owned her when I was little or knew anyone who had her. Now she's one of my very favourites.

Have her.  She's a classic beauty, this one!  I always loved Bubbles, and her cameo in Rescue at Midnight Castle where she was shampooing her hair in the stream, lol.
