I am actively offended that this poll expect Mountain Boys to all be in the "other" category. They were the only boy ponies I had as a child, and if they're not on the poll properly, it isn't a poll on favourite G1 boys. It's a poll on favourite G1 boys sold in the US and Canada. Which is not the same thing at all.

Oh, I'm sorry I tried to include only the boys that were released in most countries -- I totally thought the ponies I listed were released in the UK, too! I feel kind of stupid for not including the Mountain Boys -- I love them, too, but if I included them, I figured I'd have to include Sports Time, Daddy Sunbright et al, maybe even the Mexican princes and Colombian and Spanish variations to be fair. Believe me, I wasn't trying to leave anyone out; I was trying to include everyone. I'm so sorry I was trying to be fair but I feel like this poll is a failure.

This was hard for me. I voted for Chief because I just love his colouring, mmmmm! White and blue ponies! But I actually love all the big brothers except the pink ones. I just can't seem to identify with pink boys, even if they do have suitably macho names.

Most of them were sold here (Tux not officially) but that really wasn't my point. I just feel like they were shoved aside, as were the other European and UK released ponies. And some of us had those as kids and have strong affection for them. They should have been in the poll. That's all. It made me feel like my perspective wasn't welcome because I grew up playing with ponies not important enough to include.

Mexican Princes and Spanish boys are Nirvana ponies. Mountain Boys, the three Family Friends Daddies and Sportstime are mainstream release ponies sold in more than one country. Unless they are the ones made in Thailand, Mountain Boy discussion doesn't take place in the Nirvana section. Ditto the other boys mentioned.

Maybe the above is harsh, and it's not really a personal attack, it's just the bubbling over of an ongoing frustration. I did notice you did list the boys with UK and US names, for which you deserve credit and I'm sorry my annoyance meant I didn't give it straight away.

 I just feel like sometimes the UK stuff falls through the cracks and people forget there are other "mainstream" ponies that aren't in the US release, but don't belong in the Nirvana section either. If they're not included here either, where do they belong?

I'd just like to feel as though those ponies were considered mainstream and not just shoved off to the side as "variants" or "foreign". Especially since they are categorically unwanted in the actual "variant" section of the site. And this is a bigger annoyance which was just nicely summed up and brought to the forefront by the choices you made on your poll.

I'm not really into the male ponies, but I do like the baby boys very much. Not the family baby brothers, but Baby Drummer, Paws, Racer, etc.

Maybe the poll should've just included all the boys in the shire horse molds? Then you'd include the Mountain Boys but wouldn't have to get into all the Nirvana boys (like the Prince ponies, Re Unicorno, Gustavo, etc). Although I suppose that'd still leave out the UK daddies, Sports-Time, Baby Schoolbag and.. Sniffles? I get the newborn twins' names mixed up, haha.

I dunno, I can see both sides of the problem. Haruna, I don't think this was a failure! I like seeing everyone's opinions :>

As for me.. don't make me choose between my babies!!! I love all the boys My favourite Nirvana boy is Re Unicorno (Italian Majesty), I can tell you that, haha.

Baby Leaper is my favorite of the baby boys.
