surprise weekend brags!!

yesterday i went to a toy sale fundraiser, and picked up a couple nice things, but then this morning my dad came in my room and dropped this huge tote full of ponies on my floor! its mostly MIB g3s, some loose g2s, and a couple playsets, and loooads of g3 merch!

this sew-and-so i got yesterday at the sale, and the firefly i got today out of the tote. im so happy i finally have a g1 plushie, i love them so much they're so goofy!

these are the MIB g3s i got, though i'm really only interested in pepperberry..the others i might be willing to part with

the tote had the g1 show stable and the other is i think the g2 garden playset or something..? i also got several bags of ponywear and various accessories, and the fences for the stable (i think). and the g1 collectors carry case.

i've already set up my g2s on a bookshelf, here they all are. i have yet to identify everyone but i know one of them is ivy. i didn't think i would like them so much, my opnion was kind of nuteral on g2s but holding one in my hand..i totally love them!!! they're adorable. visitors can't see pics , please register or login

the tote also came with tons of g3 merch and stuff. oh, and not pictured i got a cookie-making kit still in package, with the batter mix and cookie cutters. its really hard not to want to open it and make them!!!

Congrats on the really cool haul! Your dad is awesome.

What about your perspective on the G2s do you think changed when you were able to actually see them in person? Curious because I've never had any of the "real" ones, just the Happy Meal toys.

gosh im not sure! they just look really goofy in photos but in reality their sculpts are really pretty.
i think part of it was i assumed they were like, the size of g1s or something, but in reality they're in between g3s and g4s. and i also really love how ivy's leg moves with her head.

i've sorted through all the miscelaneous ponywear and ive come across lots that i don't know the origin of. some of it may be pony, and some not. could anybody help me ID these accessories?

The 'G2' ponies are from left to right
- Petal Blossom from Secret Surprise Friends series
- Ivy from Magic Motion Friends series
- Seabreeze, US mail order pony
- Sky Skimmer from Secret Surprise Friends series
- Sun Sparkle from Magic Motion Friends series

That dark blue accessory with two holes belongs to ivy, it's a headdress.
The yellow flower comb and flower barettes are 'G2' accessories but I'm not sure who they belong to.

Wow such a great haul!  I especially love the unicorn helmet and yes there is something really special about G2s in person that just doesn't come across in pictures...I think it's the rounded simplicity of the mouth shape that makes them seem a little goofy in pictures but I think My Little Pony has always been something that requires hands to get the full appreciation of.

I'm Soooo jelly of the playsets and such.  You've got a great start!  Now try and keep a path to your door open, you know, so you can drag more pony stuff in.
