Theres an "attic" store at my local mall.  They have all sorts of knicknacks, which my husband and i LOVE checking out when we go for a walk there (rainy days suck to walk in)  Last time i was there they had a Plush G1 Cotton Candy for $10

I just about fainted when i saw the price.  These patterns are going for +$15 on amazon, and since i am out of the loop and didnt check ebay until just now ;p figured thats about how much these patterns are worth.

Still... I am beyond stoked to find G1 stuff in the wild   I am probably going to have my mom attempt to make the plushie for me <3  cause she sews and well... who wouldnt want a plush pony?!

I opened it up.  I had to see if the pattern was intact still xD  Guess who has a completely mint pattern?  Its never even been unfolded o_O  Im going to feel only slightly bad when my mom cuts this up to make me it >>

I read somewhere that if you cut the pattern into a clear shower curtain you can make a nice reusable pattern. Which could spare the original if you want to make multiple plushies:)

What an awesome find! I keep hoping to find some old patterns. I agree with the previous suggestion to trace it out on something else so you don't have to cut into the pattern.

That's a cool find. I didn't realize how much they were selling for on ebay. I'm sure I've got one stashed away with my pony merch somewhere.  Congrats on such a steal

Wow I want that pattern even if I didn't make the plush.  So wonderful!

You can reuse patterns many times if you treat them well, and you can also trace them to make copies. 

Used to be able to buy blank pattern paper for making patterns and you just put it over the original on a large surface, taping them down if necessary to keep them from moving, and take a copy by trace.  The blank pattern paper is not very opaque so you can see through it.  That stuff simply has to be available still somewhere....if not, there should be some sort of blank newsprint or something that can work. 

The thing to do is trace a copy, then cut and use the copy so the original remains intact. 

Making from pattern is your chance to pick the most luxurious materials available!

The pattern is going to be handed over to my mom.  Shes a seamstress so knows how to handle patterns   Sadly I dont think I am going to see a plush for a while, shes got a lot of 2016 quilts to finish first before she can start on this (including my My Little Pony quilt! xD)

And I will have to see if Moms work (she works at a craft store) has blank pattern paper to do just that.  And if i cant find it at Joanns, TO EBAY OR AMAZON I GO ;p
