Pony population poll 2: what gens do you collect?

I mostly collect the current one, though I do have a decent collection of G1 & G2 Ponies as well and each one has it's own guidelines

G4 I collect a few different things, but in terms of brushables I typically collect one version of each character, unless they have a new gimmick I like or they were originally released with one and there's now a more accurate version (I've also been gathering up ones I could use for customs)

G1 is mostly character based and completing sets, I have ones that I'd like to get if I can find them for a reasonable price, but I have a lot of the ones I wanted most

G2 I have most of the first 2 years' releases and from there I've been cherry picking sets that would be easy to complete, it might be nice to eventually have one of each, but for now I've been filling in my collection as I feel like it

G3 doesn't really appeal to me either as a toyline or an animation, so I don't have any

I collect all gens except G3.5, but G1 is far and away my favourite.

I collect 1,2, some 4, and a tiny bit of 3.  Not actively collecting G3 so I didn't check that one off

I collect all gens but I mostly collect G1 and G3. G2s I will grab if I see them and G4s it's kind of an every now and then thing since I'm not as big of a fan of their look and don't watch the show or know the characters too much.

I have the most G4, but G3 is my favorite.

Didn't get a G1 until a few years ago!

Primarily and actively, G1.

I collected G3 when they were being sold in stores but have not and probably will not go out of my way to buy them in the secondary market, save for a couple wish list ponies I was never able to get.

G4 ... I'm not not collecting them ... again, won't seek out to purchase online / forums / eBay but will buy in a heartbeat at a store or pony meet

G2 ... nope.

I only collect g1 ponies at this time.  Would like to collect g2 ponies someday but would have to be through trade.

I collect G1, though a few G3 have somehow joined them. Sneaky ponies!

I used to collect all gens but I just didn't have the space anymore, so I sold all my G3 and G4 ponies. Now I primarily collect G1 ponies. Though I do have a handful of G2 ponies as well.

1, mostly.  But a few 3s.  Will collect 2s at some point.  I am becoming fond of them.

i used to consider myself a g4 collector but i blinked and suddenly i have more g1s than anything else! also i think i really enjoy them more than other gens. so i guess im a g1 collector now.
g1s - probably about ~50
g2s - 0, though i wouldnt mind having some.
g3s - ~15? maybe less.
g4s - same. around 10-15 brushables? 15-20 blind bags? i have a lot of merch though. like..plushes, lunch boxes, blankets, that sort of stuff.

I feel like G1 will always be my true love but I also collect G2, G3, and G4 (only the brushables).   Although, I am focusing mainly on G2 at the moment.   I need them all with the exception of G3.5 lol
