Weird musty smell on my Boquet?

I just got boquet today by mail and the first thing I realized was that she had this weird smell? I'm not sure if it's mold since I have never smelt anything moldy but to me she smells like preservation liquid that's used in animal dissections?? I'm not sure if that's what mold is suppose to smell like but is there anyway I could remove the smell quickly or should I resign myself to airing her by a window?
