Odd Yellow Spots on Night Glider
« on: May 15, 2017, 02:17:38 PM »
So sadly I bought what I thought was a "She is in excellent to perfect condition.  She has no marks.  " qouted from the ebay listing..  of Night Glider.  When I finally got the pony in a good timing she had about 5 yellow spots all over her body.. theses are not cutie marks or such.. its disappointing when she seems to be hard enough to find in great shape.   Anyone have any ideas whats these spots are?   We're not sure if its cancer forming or what frankly :/

I'm right now waiting for the Seller to response to find out what will be done about it :/

UPDATE:

I've heard from the seller and waiting for another response NightGlider will be going back to them and I'll hopefully be getting a full refund.   I'm still disappointed and once more hunting for another near mint to mint Night Glider I just don't want one with spots or cancer it seems they don't exist o.O'

Those first ones look pretty subtle but in the last image those spots, especially the one on her neck, are pretty scary.  Hold it up to a strong light and see what it looks like when back-lit, and I think you will be likely be able to confirm it's cancer.

I'm new so best to let others weigh in on this before making any decisions, but I think that's a probably deliberately mis-described condition and I hope you are able to get satisfaction.

To me it looks like someone wanted to hide pen mark or something' with a strong cleaning product and with age the plastic faded under. But it's sure not is a "perfect condition pony".

I would agree with ColdRuru about it being a strong cleaning product or acne cream  :pout:

I just looked up the listing.  As much as you paid for her, I would send her back and wait for another one to come along.  You can see the trouble areas in the pictures now that you know where to look

Poniesandpetals... I know that name. Isn't she on the bad traders list?

And yikes, I'd definitely go for a refund. That is NOT as described.

That pony should not have been described as having no marks.
I'm not sure about the faint ones but the one on her neck looks like a cancer mark to me. I hope you can get a refund!

I did not find the seller's name on any list though...?

Seconding that's possibly acne cream damage - most natural spotting doesn't go yellow.  Seller might have treated Night Glider to remove brown age spots not realizing that the cream would continue to do damage.  If that is acne cream, eventually those spots will turn whiteish-yellow, which looks even worse.  Reminds me of that poor Nightlight someone had a similar development with.

Such a Nightglider is certainly worth bait price but not more.

I'd happily buy that one if offered for its true value, like $6 or less I guess? and paint on some extra comets or something over the flaws, or just be happy with it as is because it was cheap.

Absolutely not worth, what was it, $87 did someone say?  Such a disappointment for you.

If you used Paypal, that is one more layer of protection should the seller and eBay both fall through.  I hope it works out.

I recently sold a Nightglider with similar spots; not sure what caused them but I took detailed pictures for the seller.  Not as severe as the one in your pictures.  I am so sorry you are going through this.  I hope you get a refund  :(

Sadly I did pay 87 for her with shipping.. I got snip bid to my max bid.. it could of cost me much worse :/   But I will be getting a refund and the pony going back to the seller.   I honestly just wanted a non cancer pony of her.. someday someday I hope!
