Are Breyer boxes worth anything?
« on: May 06, 2017, 12:10:01 PM »
I have a few boxes from the Breyer horses I got when I was younger (20+ years ago).  Are they worth hanging on to for any reason (other than sentiment)?  Does anyone collect the boxes or anything like that?

MIB figures are always worth more than loose ones. So if you have no sentimental attachment to them, it is a good idea to hang onto them in case you decide to sell. If you are wondering if they have value unto themselves, best bet is an ebay search to see if they are selling there.

The only ones that might have some value are the old picture box ones (all cardboard with the picture of the model on the front).  Later ones with the plastic fronts are almost always worthless.  Unlike most toys, MIB Breyers very rarely are worth more than loose.  Personally, I just cut out any info or pictures that I find interesting and toss the rest.  On the occasions when I've later sold the model, I've had a few boxes or pieces of boxes that got separated from it and those I put out for free at Breyerfest.
