Oi Vey! How Could Hasbro Go SO Wrong with Newborn Cuties Cartoons?

It just boggles my mind how Hasbro can be so good at animation with the G3 movies but when it came to the Newborn Cuties shorts, they didn't even get lip movement for one of the shorts. How did that get accepted for release? It's like they weren't even trying.

I know, right??  I'd say they're amateur, but to be honest I think an actual amateur would produce something better!

It boggles me too! I'm in animation ten in high school, and I can animate mouth movement. Hasbro actually spent money on producing something of a lesser quality than a fifteen year olds animation project!

I didn't even know these shorts existed but I haven't rest watched G3 cartoons.

Oh noooo don't remind me ;A; I think the NBC ponies are cute, but I've just been bothered by them since watching the NBC cartoons ._. even the regular g3.5 is better. (I like g3 cartoons, but g3.5 was meh IMO ) those nightmare dead eyes. *cries*

I'm pretty sure the poor people who got stuck animating the newborn G3 stuff had to get very, very drunk to make it through their workdays. That dialog is soul-sucking to watch once, I can't imagine what it's like having to sit through endless loops of it for weeks or months at a time.

I've seen amateur projects with better animation using Super Nintendo Sprites.

I think the Newborn Cutie shorts were shovel media to put out there to advertise them in a pinch.  They were the dying gasp of G3 before the G4 reboot, so they figured quality didn't really matter.  However, I think you need to put in some real effort to suck this bad.

IMO though, the only G3.5s they ever made that were halfway decent in the toy line were the Newborn Cuties.The cartoon though. Ugh!

I think I only watched one or two Newborn cutie episodes. The one where baby Sweetie Belle came down from a rainbow was terrible. According to the Runaway Rainbow non unicorns didn't know about Unicornia but as soon as Sweetie Belle appears someone says "All unicorn ponies come from Unicornia!" or something like that.

They are "The Room" of the MLP franchise, lol.
