Anne of Green Gables Custom: Literature Swap

I had so much fun hosting the Literature and Lore Swap. I had Minty Socks for my own partner, and she had such great options! Jo from Little Women, Anne from Anne of Green Gables, and Luna from the Harry Potter series were three of the options, and all three of my top favorite literature characters and childhood influences! It was a hard choice, but I finally settled on Anne.

Freckles are so fun to make! A new venture for me. Also, the description of "grey green eye" seemed so beautiful to me, and I loved mixing a color I thought was a good fit.

She has a copy of the First Edition of Anne of Green Gables (dang, girl, you may want to consider cashing that in) and also an open book with the poem "Highwayman" by Alfred Noyes. A movie series where she reads this poem really struck me when I was young, for some reason, so I wanted to give the poem to her. I also wanted to give her a stand with green and plants, as it is a beautiful theme in the series, and Minty Socks mentioned liking the setting.

I love the Anne of Green Gables books. In fact I was re-reading Anne of Avonlea yesterday. She is so precious. Her face and colors remind me of a flea-bit gray. I love her hat and base too.

Thanks for all your sweet comments! She got a lot of love over on Facebook and even resulted in a commission request. Had no idea so many people had such love for Anne, but I love it!

Also, I will now forever see flea-bitten grays as having freckles rather than spots.
