Has anyone rehaired a MLP plush?

I'm thinking about taking on the task, because I love the Aurora World MLP plushes, but I'd like to experiment with different hair colors :3

Wondered if anyone has done anything similar, and/or if there are tuturials or guides? I'm not the most experienced at sewing...
