Pinkish discoloration, don't use acne cream?
« on: April 29, 2017, 04:15:33 PM »
I have this discoloration on Majesty, it's my fault, I left her in a basket smooshed with other toys and forgot about her.
Came out like this.

I had a doll friend tell me to do the acne cream trick, but I saw an old forum say NOT do it?

More neon irl, and her nose looks 'bruised'. Do I just put her in the sun or try the acne cream?

Please don't use acne cream! It can cause nasty yellow discoloration later on :(
I'd try to sunfade it away. That should be your best bet  ^.^

I agree with this! Acne creme is great for humans but nasty for ponies.... Some bright sun and patience is probably going to be your best bet for this.  Just don't forget to cover up anything you don't want faded!  Good luck!

Yes. Sunfade that pretty pony! Being pink, it shouldn't take long, red tones are always the first to go. That said, make sure to cover her eyes, hair, etc, you definitely don't want that faded!

Thirding Acne Cream is a big NO.  It's a long-term destroyer of ponies that just keeps eating away at dyes or yellowing paler colours.  Sun is safest, since you get complete control over how long the exposure will be.
