Pearly G4 Two-Packs at Walmart!

I don't know if these have been spotted before; I skimmed the first page of threads and didn't see anything. Sorry if it's old news or a duplicate!

Anyway, I stopped by Walmart today and stumbled across a whole shelf of specially-wrapped two-packs of the pearly G4 ponies.  I did a quick glance through them and only saw four different ponies; Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Cherry Berry, and Pretzel. I honestly don't know who all is in that wave, so I'm not sure if there's others available or not. They're only $4.88 a pack, so it's essentially a BOGO deal.

My store had them in a totally different aisle than the other Pony stuff, for some reason; they were on the side of the "boys' toys" aisle. So if anyone's looking for them and they're not with the ohter ponies, it might be worth checking other aisles.

I already opened the wrapping that held the double-packs together, but here's a pic of the four individually-packed ponies.

OOOOOH I hope that helps people find their shiny pretty ponies!    The distribution on these has been spotty, hasn't it?

Yeah, they do seem to be oddly-distributed. The only time I've seen any of the pearlies in my area was at Dollar General, where they had Coloratura and a few others. I'd never seen these four anywhere until today.

01mlplover; do you have any Dollar Generals near you? If you do, it might be worth trying there for Starlight. I can't remember for sure, but I think I saw her in the batch when I found Coloratura.

For those that already have these four; is it normal for them to have dry, frizzy hair right out of the box? I just opened mine and three of the four have weird hair. Rainbow is REALLY bad; her tail and the ends of her mane are literally matted together.

yes. particuarily with the pearlies, but IMO with all g4s; dry/frizzy hair or extremely greasy/oily hair is common..almost expected.

Funny you mention dollar general bc I found a couple at family dollar but haven't looked at dollar general recently. I don't typically look there for ponies bc they want almost $7 for a single.

I'm very selective with my G4 ponies but man I'd love to snag a pearly sometime! They're really cute despite the hair issues. If I can somehow get to a walmart I'll have to peek around. Are there any good lists of all the pearly ponies they've made?

Looks like your store got slightly different packs than mine did, Ponyfan. Mine had them packed side by side.

Didn't see any of the pearly ponies at a Walmart in Turkey Creek TN, but there was a pile of blindbags with a similar deal. The Nightmare Night wave taped together with a more recent blindbag set. About $2ish for the pair of blindbags.
