I was excited until they revealed details and the redesign. This is not the spirit I grew up with and I'm very sad that this is what Dreamworks decided to do with their film.
I was always more of a Silver Brumby fan than a Spirit fan, but I have to admit that looks kind of weak. It seems like someone's fanfiction of Spirit on the big screen. I don't see a problem with the idea of doing such a show, but really, why try and piggyback except to try and drum up a bigger audience?Just like with the Jem movie, it really has nothing to do with old Jem but they tried to use the name anyway.

They should have just done their own thing. I've never seen Thowra. Always wanted to.
The show doesn't seem exactly period accurate either with the other girls running around in jeans.
