BBE and normal babies for lack if better term.
« on: April 06, 2017, 10:03:10 AM »
First off, I love BBE ponies. They were childhood faves because they were odd like me.

I know there are some regular eye and a twin with a BBE. For example. Luckity Split is a first tooth and has a BBE version. Are there others?

I am looking to collect both version, so I am kind of getting a list. Pictures are always welcome:)

Baby Heart Throb, Baby Gusty, and Baby Ribbon have BBE and NBBE versions as well. :)  There is also a second version of Baby Lickety-Split in Baby Blossom's pose.

There is also a NBBE version of Baby Lofty from Brazil, but she is much harder to find and more expensive than the others.

Is heartthrob, gusty, and ribbon NBBE versions US or outside US?

Mind blown. Baby luckily split has baby blossom pose? Is she US?

Yes, they are all European (except Brazilian Baby Lofty).  :)  Also, NBBE Baby Heart Throb has two variations: one with plain hearts symbols and one with winged heart symbols.  I believe the winged heart one was mostly sold in Austria and Germany.

Oh, and there are also BBE / NBBE versions of Baby Cuddles and Baby Tiddly Winks.  Those ones were sold in the US, so they are nice and cheap. :)

Here's a picture of my NBBE Baby Lofty:

You can see pictures of Lady Pinwheel's MIB Baby Lofty here: http://heckyeahponyscans.tumblr.com/post/112701433003

Edit:  I just remembered there is a Brazilian NBBE Baby Gusty too.  HOWEVER she is not a unicorn, she is an earth pony in Ember's mold. :)

Here's a pic of her from My Little Wiki:

I find it cute that they changed the front of the box for Baby Gusty and Baby Lofty, putting pictures of whichever pony was included on the front of the box. :)

I feel this could be a dangerous bank account adventure. I have to get some of these US ones. I had no idea.

Im really hooked on the European baby ponies. I love to own Baby Candy or Lollipop one day. Though my favorites are the Greek ponies baby Medley is adorable. I doubt I would be able to afford some of these. Im just thrilled to have full sets of the TAF babies and the pearly babies.

The proper set name for the European babies is 'Play and Care Set Baby Ponies', so there is a better/correct term and it's not NBBE.

They are the 1986 release of Baby Ponies in Europe and the UK.

Baby Heart Throb with winged hearts was predominately available in continental Europe, without seems to come up more in the UK.

It is my pony but not my photo, originally taken by Rosse.

Babydoll has the others MIB.

We didn't get Baby Shady or Baby Lofty in Europe; there isn't a Baby Shady version without BBE in any country as far as I know.

these are what I have access to right now. I also have Gusty but her eyes need repairing. I know I have no nirvanas for comparison but I hope this is still helpful at least

Yay, baby ponies. my favorite thing! I love having multiple versions of ponies and I've been warming up to BBE's lately. As far as I know Baby Shady, Baby Frosting Baby Sleepy Pie and Baby Sundance don't have a regular eye counterpart. Most of the regular eye versions are Euro and UK releases and there are some others like the Brazil set with Baby Lofty that I am currently working on adding to my collection.  Unfortunately these are all pricier ponies.

Here's some pics of mine that I have in my photobucket

My first BBE's. They're much cuter in person.

I can't wait to get the rest of my collection out of storage and take pics
