What are your thoughts on G4.5 ponies?

I don't mind them at all. They're really cute! Especially the new fashion sz ones
 

  The FS  size  does have a nice look , not as bad as the little ones, but I have not caved in for them so far .

I have used my brake to buy Barbie 80s/90s Horses and dolls LOL . I did get the Rarity  Carousel  Blind Bag size ponies, Rarity is such a Diva in that set.

Their big bulbous heads annoy me..... especially with how much farther back their hairlines are. It looks like they're balding!!! I don't like it. Plus, they're bigger than the regular G4 ponies, so even if I DID like them, they wouldn't fit in..... they're just too stylistically different.

I don't call them G4.5... they're not different enough (imo) for that... I just say the reboot and/or movie style, even if that's clunkier lol.  I do like them more than I thought I would though... and at least they add a little variety to what we've been seeing for the last few years.

they are different enough to be called by many g4.5  LOL , many G4 collectors are not collecting them ,so they are different enough

I have two.

I have Twilight Sparkle, who will be sent off to a new home this week. She's got an even bigger head, slightly greasy mane, though its thicker, a slightly fuller tail, and her legs are really weird. Can't stand that upturned  bird-beak. Her eyes are kinda uneven and her proportions have been shortened.  Oh and not only is she pooping out her own tail,     but the hole has been punched further to the side. I like that the horn is finally a proper length. I like the wings.

Mer-Rainbowdash has escaped the balding look thankfully. I've never seen a G4 with such thick, lush hair. No awkward back legs, stupid upturned beak, eyes look slightly more normal, still has a gigantic cranium. I'm actually okay with the shortened ears. I like her fins.

 I might get some of the Main Six in mer-pony form if their hair is nice as Mer-Rainbowdash's.

Don't like Mer-Fluttershy for some reason, don't like Mer-Pinkie either. But then I don't like Pinkie Pie. Mer-Rarity and Mer-Twilight seems okay. I'll double check the horns though. Not even baby unicorns have those nublets.

There's my Rainbowdash with her merpony counterpart. Mer-Rainbowdash has thick, lush, non-greasy hair. While Magic Scenes RD has greasy, thin, ratty hair that went dry and frizzy after I washed all the Ick out.
