Haven't had the chance to see it yet, but I have listened to the soundtrack on Apple Music and from all the research I've done, I'm extremely optimistic that I will like it. To me it doesn't compete with the animated film--it just gives me another version of Beauty and the Beast to watch and (most likely) love.

What does everyone think of the new songs? My favorites are "How Does a Moment Last Forever?" and "Evermore" "Days in the Sun" is my least favorite of the new songs but I loved finding out that the new lyrics to "Gaston" were written by Howard Ashman for the animated movie it weren't used until now.

I didn't like many of the new songs (I feel sort of ripped off that they didn't include "we'll be human again". That was my most favourite) but how does a moment last for ever was pretty good. I too loved the new lyrics to "gaston". Mainly because I just love le fou, no matter what he looks like.

I am a huge Beauty and the Beast fan, and I loved it! I feel they had a lot of respect for the original Disney animated movie and loved how closely they followed things.

I enjoyed it a lot more than I was expecting to. LeFou made the movie for me hahaha, I loved him so much!

It was a nice movie but really, it was so like the cartoon movie that I didn't find it all that exiting. Even many of the scenes and perspective where the same. Sure, there where some new scenes and songs but naw, could have just as well be content with the original.
Still a cute movie.

It was okay.
But it's probably the most unnecessary out of all of the Disney live-action remakes we've got so far.

Not very interested in seeing it. Did watch the original animated one again yesterday and I have the Special Edition version with the Human Again sequence and loved it as much as always.

I really enjoyed it. I liked that they added more backstory and depth to the characters.
