G3 Snow Ponies - Are Hoods Removable?

found a G3 snow pony with their fluffy satin hood still on!  It seems to be stitched at the neck?

I want to clean her up is there a way to remove the hood without ruining it? or am I overthinking it and it's cool to just snip the two little stitches??

I always snipped the little thread when I got them new.  I think it's just there so they'll display nicely in the box.

ok thanks.  sorta expected them to be elastic threads, and that maybe mine was
odd? or snagged.  good to know.

wonder if it would be more valuable if i left it...

 I feel like since she is no longer MIP her having her accessory still out of package is what adds value, not the thread. ;p
