Why I am not on here very much anymore!

Congrats! I'll finally have my husband's hospital stay from last year paid off this month. Yay! Sadly I'll be paying student loans until I'm dead.

I cant get over how much student loans can get! I work with a Nurse and she is going to be paying hers back for a very long time. Her debt is more then what I owe on my home.   Sad

Well done on setting your goals, achab.  Paying off things ahead of time can save you so much money!  We did that with out house and it's amazing how the interest comes down as you chip away with capital payments   Well done you!

Thank you I know I sat down and looked at it all and could not get over what the bank makes off a person with a home loan.   Last month was the first month I have started extra on the house. I did it way back in 2005 and 2006 but then things changed in my life and I could not do it anymore.
 
My parents do not have any debt anymore and I see how much less stress they have in there lives! My mom told me not to wish my life away and I agree. I am still going to live life, but not go spending on things that I really don't need.  My hobby is couponing and saving money on food for the family now. I do buy a Breyer horse once in a while. But it has to be a nice one now. I stopped the buying everyone that I saw a long time ago. I have put a stop on ponies, the new ones just don't bring me joy anymore.

HUGE congrats on (almost!) getting out of debt! That must be such an amazing feeling!

Thank you everyone! I know I am doing very good!  I did buy a Breyer horse that just came out but I ended up selling it before I even had it in hand. I took pictures and sent off to its new owner!  I feel so much better with cash in the bank then a plastic horse collecting dust like my other ones!

I cant get over how much it has changed on the amount of the loan after I have started to pay extra on it!
