Do or Did you play with your Ponies? care to share?

i dont sit down and "play" with them in the technical sense, but i absolutely LOVE taking them off the shelf and brushing their hair.. or rearranging them.. or giving them stories and personalities... i don't sit on the floor and act out a story with them though

Two halves of the same problem.  I have my favorites stuffed into the tiny shelf space I have for them and they get dusty real fast.

I'm planning to build some enclosed glass shelves with positive-pressure filtered air to keep them dust-free or at least closer to it...

I am sooo happy that you still play. I love your plot lines!!!! I know I sound like a broken record, but I really can not emphasis this enough, I really miss playing with my ponies.  I think it would be a stress relief just like video game + it is a Game only you can control the plot. To be honest I never really called it a Story-Line. I said it that way so we can all be on the same page. example, I didn't say, "Lets continue our story line today" or "Lets Play MLPs" It was always "Lets Continue our Game." Coloring is now excepted in the "Adult World" but they should of always been excepted by adults.  Hopefully Playing with Toys will be too.

orangepeachmango: I love it!!!! there are a lot of people who do the same thing. so you are definitely not alone. although I played with them before I felt weird playing with them by myself with ears around me, so I just called that a "pony Clean day" that took the pressure off from me. so they each got cleaned and i would imagine what they would do if i could play. so you do not have to sit on the floor.

I never called it a story line either. It's just my ponyland and how things are in there . It's definately a stress reliever to play with toys!! I have my share of challenges in this world and my toys really help me cope with life! I would go insane without them!

  My wish is really coming true. we will be moving sometime very soon. we have 2 houses to chose between and who ever takes the offer we buy. I swear, I'm soo ready for this move it is unreal no really I can literally pick up all the furniture in one hand and through it in.

I played as a kid. I'd still like to play, but I just collect. As a kid you are imaginative, but that seems to fade as an adult. Me and my favorite little cousin would play together as kids. I always played the boy pony (G1 Chief or Quarterback) and she played as G2 Morning Glory and I was the boy pony who fell in love with her. I got tired or playing the boy.

I imagine with my sense of humor these days, my pony stories would be a lot more.....messed up.

Ponies are an on going play for me. If I am home alone I grab some of my ponies and play like I am 5. I tend to move my collection around because of all the drama. So and so fell in love. Someone cheated and loves another. This family adopted a baby. This pony is a single mom and is ostracized for it. But secretly a pony has befriended them.....haha I sound so insane.

The conversations that go in my head when I do pony spa day. Haha. I have some very demanding ponies. Oh and don't get me started on the heavenly dirty ponies. The tears cut me eveytime...

OK I just reread this and I totally sound insane.

you don't sound crazy.....i have had a story line going since the 80s...LOL...its gotten more adult problems as I have aged so have my ponies

I played with ponies when I was little. However I really don't play with them unless maybe when my daughter plays with hers. Most of the time they would just hang out in their bins. Until I can get a better place to put them in.
