And while I'm complaining - everyone in this house coughs as a matter of course. Mum has to cough in the mornings as physio for her lung condition. Dad has asthma. I have allergies. We cough. And now every time one of us coughs we're washing hands...which means our hands are horribly dry right now :/

(NB these are not dry coughs xD)

Ugh and spring pollen is happening now, I hope your family is not too affected by it!

I feel like I might be more likely to get an important phone call these days.

So I just answered something without screening it. It was a flipping chinese robo call. I'm not happy. I'm back to screening calls.

Thank you glitterball.  I feel much better today but do have another slight headache coming on.

It took 3 calls but I finally got someone at the pharmacy. They just wanted to tell me my medicine was ready. Wouldn't it have been simpler to leave a message saying I had a prescription ready?

I'm so tired today I can't wake up. I tried to take a nap but that didn't work. My eyes are itchy and watery and I want to keep them closed.

Urrrgh... I ordered a wonderful book from/about an island I love, and I paid extra to have it wrapped in special island paper. So obviously the post office felt the need to open my package and rip the paper off, they didn't even put it back in the package, it's just gone!  :stressed: I'm 100% sure the seller didn't forget to wrap it, because the package had clearly been opened...

I have another headache coming on.  It’s been a while since I’ve had one so many days in a row.

Why do I even bother asking...

So an hour before the end of my shift at work today, we got a call from the Big Important Boss who wanted two emergency control boxes making, on top of the cleaning tasks and getting the heck out of there by 2:15 so the next pair of people can come in without making contact with the people who have been on the previous shift. He could've done it himself but told us he "hates preparing boxes". Well, I hate preparing boxes too but I do it because - newsflash, mate! - it's an important part of the job. Nothing can be completed if it doesn't have a control box. It's this weird thing called responsibility and considering he's in his late 40s and is running a business, you'd think he'd know a thing or two about that.
I got his boxes done, but it was done with copious amounts of cursing him six ways from Sunday. Not particularly Buddhist behaviour on my part but to be fair, my boss is a childish, self-centred, money-worshipping slimeball (and that's the massively cleaned-up version of my assessment.)

This is the trivial complaints thread - maybe asking in customs would get you an answer.

I have not just one complaint today, but three:

1. The stress of the last few months (not just the virus, but personal / family matters as well!) has caught up to me. I'm exhausted... and in a procrastination loop, which is stressing me out even more.

2. I have to crawl under the house sometime today to inspect a leaking pipe.

3. My 3DS SD Card is on its last legs and I'm having a heck of a time transferring my data to a new card.

Sorry for being so negative, but... I needed to get these off my chest.

My eyes are still bothering me  I haven't been outside so I don't think it's allergies and I feel okay otherwise (a very slight headache but that's normal for me). I flushed them with water which helped for a bit. I thought I had some eyedrops but I can't find them.

I want to play Skyrim, darnit *blinks angrily*

I'm craving deep fried food but I'm too scared to order a takeaway #COVID-19

Easy Chinese-takeaway style salt & pepper king prawns (or little strips of chicken)

slosh your meat in some beaten egg (oo-err that sounds so wrong!)
toss eggy meat in potato flour (or corn flour or last resort, regular flour, depends what you have)
fry the floured meat in a shallow pan of vegetable oil for 2 to 3 minutes

meanwhile...
in some oil, fry a chopped onion, chopped garlic, grated fresh ginger, spring onion
add chopped fresh chilli too, or a sprinkling of dried chilli instead
for extra flavour, if you have it, add a splash of vinegar and sesame oil

add the fried meat to the onion pan, stir everything through so that the oils all mix through the veg and meat.

Season with a mix of salt, sugar, Chinese five-spice powder (and a dash of MSG if you have any but this is optional)

There you have it!   :yummy:
