I hate that feeling of needing to do something when I literally can do nothing more on my work until next week.

I also really need to know if the university's stupid declaration has to count in my word count. I say stupid because it's also on the submission form and while I do not mind signing any number of forms saying I haven't plagiarised, I would rather not lose 100 words of my own thesis work in order to reiterate something I've already said.

People who plagiarise annoy me so much. They make the rest of us jump through so many hoops to prove we aren't plagiarising, when it really shouldn't be that way.

No one said that political issues themselves were trivial, or that they couldn't be discussed, just that this is not the appropriate place to discuss them. Off Topic is and always has been for lighter topics, while WYP is for heavier and more sensitive topics. WYP becomes available to members one they reach 210 posts, which is not an unreasonable requirement. This was put in place to support the safety of the community, given the nature of the forum.

I am putting an official warning on this thread to keep things appropriate, light topics. This thread is intended for smaller issues, things that only need a 30 second vent and not their own bigger thread. Any further deep discussion/larger issue posts will be deleted from this thread.

If anyone has further questions or comments about this, you can PM me directly.

OUCH
I was clipping my cats claws and he did one of those WIGGLE FLAIL moves and his claw SNAGGED the meaty part of the base of my finger and gave me a nice little stinging scratch.

I saw an add about kittens for sale and the pictures were adorable and when I looked at the map they were in my city so I saved it to show hubby when he came home from work. We both fell in love with one female and talked about contacting the seller so I clicked on the map to show hubby where they were located and the map showed a small town an hour drive from here. Turned out the location in my city was for another add I accidentally clicked on and had not noticed. We don't have a car and wanted to meet the litter before deciding and now we can't so the kitten is out of the question. I am so bummed.

It's entirely off topic but I have always found that song beautiful in its irony :)

...Still waiting for an email from the Doctoral School. Going to storm them tomorrow if I don't hear anything as they are now holding up my submission...

I went to write some dates for later in the year in my 2018/2019 diary. Turns out it only goes up to the end of July 2019...

Father told uncle what I may plan to apply for after I finish my degree.

I am a great believer in a: not jinxing myself by talking about future plans in detail and b: not putting pressure on myself in case I change my mind or I don't succeed, because I don't see why I should then have to explain myself to the whole of my family.

My uncle is also not in my good books as he doesn't seem to always remember he has two nieces, and sends stuff for my sister's birthday but not mine.

He therefore has no right of knowledge in this case.

So now I had to field his enquiring emails.

Dad owes me cake.

Put my headphones in on the train and turned on my music app, only to find a majority of my songs have disappeared...

Edit: Got to college and we are in a large computer area due to some of us doing our course exams and some of us are finishing off booklet work. Although there's a huge sign outside on the door saying 'Do Not Enter- Booked by group' and 'Exam in progress' people are still walking in, sitting at computers and being completely ignorant when the lecturer is saying 'sorry this room is closed right now due to exams'

For some mysterious reason, my older brother's room has been causing his dust allergy to act up, so my mom asked me to clean it for him. Some of the stuff in there seemed like it hadn't been properly cleaned in years, if ever. My brother knows he's allergic to dust, why doesn't he dust his own room every once in a while? :X

My external hard drive has broken, and the laptop wasn't working properly, so I put all of my data on there, and of course it had to break before I could get another drive to back everything up, just in case something exactly like this happened. Thanks for that!  :pout:
