I keep getting random calls from TX and MA.  Not sure if someone is just trying to see when I am likely to answer my phone but the answer is that if I don't know who they are, they are required to leave a message before I will decide whether or not to contact them in return.  It's just annoying to get multiple calls a day that I don't care about.

1. Both the bus and metro where late so I missed about 45 minutes of college, luckily today we were only in 2 hours or so for an exam and my lecturer didn't mind. I managed to finish the exam on time, check through it and leave with everyone else. Hooray for British Transport!  :pout:

2. I had some work I needed to print off to complete my booklet. The internet was really slow on the campus, the computer had to update (lucky that didn't take long) and everyone had to line up at the printer at the other end of the room as one guy couldn't get the other printer to stop printing off multiple copies of his work!

3. Missed a metro on the way back home, the one I got on was packed so I had to stand (which I don't mind doing at all) but I was holding onto one of the railings when a guy literally walked up to me with his friend grabbed hold of the railing I was holding onto, swung himself around so his bag hit me in the face and began to lean back and casually talk to his friend like nothing happened, squishing me in the process  :rant:. Luckily I moved down a bit when the metro came to a halt.
Some school kids came on near the end of the journey and began fighting with each other, kicking, punching, grabbing on to each others bags and the finally pushing each other out of the metro swearing at one another when it stopped at the station. What a day!

Okay rant over ^^;

For some reason I keep getting pop-ups asking if I want Google Translate to translate the page I'm on, even when it doesn't need translating.  It seems to think DeviantArt is in German when it's clearly in English and that FanFiction is in French or Portuguese (depending on the day).  Not sure why it thinks that.   :huh:

I hit a deer on my way home from work.  I'd slowed down because I saw two others crossing and at the last second the third one (that I didn't see in the dark) ran in front of me.  His butt dented my hood and broke the plastic covering on my headlight but he kept going so I don't think I hurt him too much.  As far as I can tell the damage is all cosmetic.  I'm pretty sure my insurance will cover it, but if the deer had waited two seconds he could have crossed with no problems because there was absolutely no one behind me.

insurance.

coding specifically.

And all this anxiety I have to endure on the phone correcting it.

I feel like moving because I'm so mad at both hospital systems in my area. -__-;

Ugh, there was an overly pushy girl in CEX today. I don't like that shop anyway and try to avoid it, but it's the only brick-and-mortar shop in Macclesfield to get games older than whatever has just come out (in which case your only choice is supermarkets - what joy.) :pout: I politely told her I didn't want a membership card, as I barely ever actually buy games (there's very little I can really play) but she kept insisting that "It only takes a few seconds" - she clearly doesn't get it. It's not time that's the issue, the thing is that I'm not going to use the card, and I'm not going to get one to have it languishing or to ditch it later, because that's needless and wasteful. Just take no for an answer, yeesh. She just did a rrreeeaaal good job of making me very stressed and uncomfortable. :/

Today I learned that the local movie theater is, and has been, getting treated for bed bugs (this is fact).

The theater is inside the mall (also a fact).

Some people are saying there are bed bugs in some of the department stores now (has not been proven).

Of course the news is all over it. The worst part is the cinema owners/whoever aren't saying anything other than to confirm ONE room has been treated and quarantined (totally no bugs anywhere else and would you like extra butter juice on your popcorn).

Bed bugs and lice are two biting critters I've managed to avoid in my life so far. Based on my severe reactions to others; fleas, mosquitoes, those invisible flies that live on the beach, ect. I'm assuming I would have similar horrific reactions.

To summarize: I am never going to the movies (or mall) ever again :|

Spent 4 hours travelling home on Saturday and 4 hours back today because sister believes we must all have a christmas decorating weekend. Wouldn't mind but on my local train today someone pulled the emergency cord (for apparently no reason) which meant us waiting around an extra 15 minutes while they investigated...

Then I just got an email from someone at the university and by dint of this conversation I have learned that although my contract officially says it ends 3rd May, HR think it ends on 22nd March. And that's quite a difference. So now I have had to email both the person in my dept (whose fault it isn't but who might fix it) and someone in HR (a dept I don't trust even the slightest) to sort it out so I don't end up doing work that I don't get paid for...

Sigh. Logistic things break my brain and stress me out.

I had a nightmare, except instead of it being an original nightmare, it was several painful childhood memories back-to-back. Like a montage of stuff I thought I'd gotten over by now :pout:
